Surely the tastiest pizza I've had in years!…read more The last great one was at Elio Pizza in Montréal (Québec), living there made it harder to get a high quality pizza at a reasonable price. Today I'm back in my home country France and I drove from Trappes to Elancourt to try this spot I've heard of as the best of the Yvelines region. Hear me when I say you get a feeling of Italy when walking there, kitsch interior, wood oven smell and the pizzaïolo looking at you kinda weird. But you get what you came for : great pizza! Fresh ingredients, well cooked thin base and golden crust. Far from the "choose 2 toppings" situation, I had a hard time eating half of the pizza but not for the bad reasons. I just lost definition of a good sized and made with soul of a pie. You'll find it here. I wish I could get that kind of taste in Atlanta, if you know where holla at me quick!!

We were too exhausted to dine in so we called; however the number online is not correct (at least not for the location we went to) and the lady didn't speak English. Low and behold us hangry travelers were determined to get some pizza, so we translated our order and headed down to place it. We gave the lady our best French order only to find out she speaks perfect English!!! We both had a good laugh, put in the order, and only had to wait for 5 minutes for it to come up! I'm not sure if it's because they were hurrying for us or if it's traditional but our pizza wasn't cut??? Don't doubt we had any trouble eating it though, it was delish!!!

If I have ever been addicted to pasta, this is THE place for me!…read more It located right at the corner out of Croix de Chavaux subway station in Paris (Line 9). It was walking distance from my apartment, and one day I become a fan customer of it, and went there almost everyday. Cute little restaurant, everybody speaks Italian--even though I don't--and are really really friendly. Once they even protected me from being chased by a weird guy from the subway station--The guy started to harass me since I got off the subway, and didn't seem to want to leave me alone. I was so scared, so I ran out of the subway station, and went directly into the restaurant--thanks God they were still open!!--I told them that one guy was chasing me and asked them to let me stay for a bit. There were still a lot of customers in the restaurant, but they warmly directed me to sit down and gave me a drink to calm me down. They went out many time to check that guy, until they scared him away, and made sure that I was ok to go home by myself. Totally saved my life!!!! The food...I don't know how the pasta in Italy really tastes like, but I have to say their pasta was one of the best I had! I almost tried every single one on their menu, never disappointed! I remember our final of the marketing class was a case about pasta, my roommate and I decided to go to that restaurant to get some idea from it...so we went, food was as good as it was always, and we have talked to the servers a lot...and guess what, we both got A from our HORRIBLY strict marketing professor!!! Overall, it had always been delightful experience dining there, delicious food with relatively cheap price, and warm staff that make me feel like home.
