What a wonderful surprise! I came to Milan to visit my daughter and her family and brought our…read moredaughter and granddaughter with us. We dined out each night on the economy Italian style. My daughter suggested we get a taste of home - soul food and specifically fried chicken and fixin's. We were expecting an Italian adaptation of fried chicken and were transported back to my wife's home state of Georgia. The food came family style and I reached over to grab a fry. I was shocked at the back-end seasoning and how it immediately evoked images of home kitchen. The next was a drumette. Juicy, crispy and flavorful. The potato salad was creamy, sweet and chunky. We went in! Everybody got quiet and the eating was on! We ate until we were stuffed and dessert was still to come. The signature dessert is the banana key lime pie. A visitor MUST taste that pie. It's bright, tart and creamy with a graham crust. The banana is subtle and cuts the tart with the right amount of sweetness. As you can tell, our family is full of foodies. The food is delicious but the experience is all about Corey! He makes everyone feel welcome and takes the time to join each diner in the upper level dining area. His laugh is infectious and his easy manner beckons customers back for more. I felt like I was back in my grandmother's kitchen where there was always enough to share and conversation was easy.

Got a chance to meet the man behind this amazing fried chicken, he is so sweet and welcoming. Made us felt at home and made our visit so enjoyable. Thank you, Corey and Milan I am so jealous we don't have Corey's in the state.
