People come in with lofty expectations of being blown away by the pizza, and while most if the pizza we tried was well above average, nerveless a gap existed to my expectations. The staff were great given the massive number of people that make pilgrimage to this place and the months in advance needed to get a booking during prime season. The Capriccisita pizza as described in my attached photo was mind blowing which overpowered the other pizzas we ordered. Friendly efficient staff. Figuring out the registration of your reservation prior to entry was a little tricky and chaotic but it eventually worked out fine. Tonight though, in my opinion the crust was not best in class. I found it to be excessively doughy around the edges and soggy in the bottom. Without a great crust as a base any great pizza is doomed to underperform. I will try the world nbr 2 ranked pizza place in the world, Una Pizza Neopolitana,, also owned by the same group, when I'm back in New York to see how their crust performs. Regardless, it was a worthwhile visit.

The reason I gave a 3 is because my Tagliatelle was undercooked and many were clumped or stuck together. I understand the pizza is really good and many people around me had the pizza. Perhaps if I had the pizza my review would be better but the pasta prevented me from giving a better review.

Well done to the staff and owners of Pepe Nero, I encourage all to check out their menu online or in the restaurant, an amazing line up of delicious Greek/Lebanese flavors.

It's the perfect place to go for dinner with friends. We got here around 8:00pm which was perfect, because 30 minutes later, people were pouring in. The food was pretty good! The pasta, steak, and pizza tasted as good as they looked. I gave this place a 4- stars instead of 5 just because what our friends ordered wasn't so good. I do not recommend the Big Buffalo. The menu was misleading. It said american hamburger, but came out as just the meat patty on top of french fries. -_-

Choosing a la carte will take a while to make as it will be made to order (around 20 mins?), while glass counter items are cheaper and just reheated for you should you choose to eat in (yes, from a microwave). You order at the counter then seat yourself wherever. I had the spaghetti con vongole and was utterly shocked by the freshness, not a hint of fishiness, no grit, no sand. Spaghetti was buttery and just the right amount of flavor. Also had the cacio e pepe with mussels. Again, so fresh, so clean. Mussels were *just* cooked so they were super tender. Portions were kind of small, but I thought that was a fair exchange for the quality. We also ordered the seafood risotto from the counter, which was a bigger portion, though not so much seafood, but that was only 5€. Three primis plus large water totaled to only €26. And to think just earlier a nearby restaurant handed me a flier where lunch sets started at €25 per person!

Located just a quarter mile away from one of the largest and most majestic palaces in the South…read more You will find a cafe deli that serves up not only the typical coffee and sweets but a bar of homemade style potatoes vegetables lasagna and chicken preparations. We were starting to say the least having just come from Rome and this was our 1st stop along the auto route. Before taking the 3 hour long trip of the museum and the palace up the road we decided to get some nourishment and we were not disappointed neither and quality nor and portion size nor price. All of the specialty deserts appear to be made by one of the finest pastry shops in the South and appear to be fresh and imported daily. The coffee of course was impressive. But what was most notable in this shop was the homemade style lunch entrees. The potatoes and onions were so well seasoned and went well with the breaded chicken cutlets that was hammered thin and breaded and fried to perfection. They make a home style macaroni and cheese casserole served in your own personal pot and it was delicious. As we sat and ate at the high tops we could see that this is clearly not a touristy destination but one for all the locals who are coming in to grab them swept self a quick bite a coffee or a hot pressed sandwich. And of course if it is the Winter season don't forget to pick up one of the many selections of panetone a breads that they have on display. The street parking is tough but if you only need to walk a few blocks to the West you will find a public parking facility that has its own well kept restroom and the rates per hour were very reasonable.
