While I can't speak to the particular awesomeness of the owner, I did have a terrific dinner of seafood pizza (and probably more than my share of my wife's gorgonzola pizza as well). While there are plenty of other options on the menu, pizza is definitely the star here. The food was delicious, the patio was quite lovely, and the service was top-notch. I saw lots of ppl carrying out and dining in. For dinner, my husband and I split a large margherita pizza and an insalata jolly (house salad, I think). The salad here is amazing and very large! It was huge, had delicious chunks of cheese and the balsamic dressing was spot on. And I'm not normally a fan of olives but the olives in the salad were full of pungent olive flavor, without being too salty. Salad was fantastic and I was digging it. Unfortunately, the pizza was not as good. The crust was perfect, slightly charred, thin and crunchy. What was bad was that the margherita pizza had way too much tomato sauce (which was too salty) and the fresh mozzarella cheese was wet. It was clearly put on the pizza after it was already finished in the oven. In fact the mozzarella cheese was so wet that it even slid off our slices of pizza. Also word to the wise, the large pizza is really large for two people esp after the big salad. No worries, we took it home and ate leftovers for breakfast the next day =)
