We arrive at 6:55 for our 7 pm reservation and there were already 50+ people (tourists) lined up to get in when they open at 7. The restaurant is huge so if you go early you could easily walk in, but the benefit of the reservation was having a prime table set aside on the edge of the open-air restaurant.

The space is large enough to accommodate groups. It was a hot day in Santiago, and I chose the indoor option, which was slightly cooler than the outdoor option. My waiter was very efficient and helpful, and I had a very enjoyable thin crust pizza. They have a delicious Pisco sour, and Carmenere wine (by the glass) went well with my pizza. I enjoy thin crust pizza that is not overwhelmed by toppings, and my pizza was well balanced. This restaurant seems to be popular with locals and tourists alike -- it's always a good sign when there are more locals than tourists eating at a restaurant. They always have a selection of pizza ready, or you can wait for their fresh ones to come out of the oven. The dough is nice and crunchy, the toppings are good, nothing too special. You can take a seat inside or enjoy yourself on their little street patio. Or if you want to avoid being in public grab a slice or two to go. Verace is always open late as it is in such a popular part of Santiago. They also serve beer to enjoy with your food. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is piola (chill).

The menu offers a variety of pizzas, salads, and a few pasta dishes. My friend ordered the sorrentinos pasta dish and I ordered the pesto paltón pasta dish, which was cheese tortellini in a pesto sauce. My pasta was good - not the best tortellini I've ever had, but it was fine. And the pesto sauce was a bit chunky - like there were still basil leaves that hadn't been ground up and so sometimes I bit into whole leaves. It tasted good though with plenty of garlic. We also ordered the mango juice which was really good. They also offered us complimentary bread, but we weren't sure what it was. It wasn't garlic bread. Looked like cut up pieces of white bread with some sort of herb spread. The service was excellent. Our server took our orders and was patient with our terrible Spanish. She came by often to check up on us and see if we needed anything else. Another guy also came by to check up on us too. We were able to pay our bill with credit card and we were able to split it on two cards. The place has a really nice ambience. Eating outside was lovely. Seems like a great place to relax and have a beer too. If I were to come back I wouldn't order the pesto again but maybe one of the pizzas with a beer!
