The atmosphere is cozy and inviting and they usually decorate for each season, which always adds a nice touch to overall dining experience. I showed up with my 8-year-old daughter, who has always been allowed to bring in McDonald's because she doesn't eat anything on the menu--like most kids her age. Immediately, the waitress informed me that the manager no longer allows outside food because it could "contaminate" the restaurant's food. After 15 years of being welcomed, that explanation felt unnecessary, insulting, and completely out of touch. Still trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, I ordered the same dish I've ordered for well over a decade--the same one I had in October with zero issues. This time, I was told they needed to "check with the manager" to see if they could even make it, since it wasn't on the menu. After waiting, the waitress returned and told me they could not make it after all. That was the final straw. A restaurant my family has supported for years--one we literally drive hours for--has suddenly decided longtime customers don't matter. I left without eating, completely disappointed and honestly stunned at how poorly the situation was handled. My weekend was ruined, and a place I once loved is now a place I will never return to.
