Great pizza for a late night dinner! very flavorful and the hostess was great. I will come back again! Highly recommended!!

Don't even try to order here! Very very rude. Doesn't know the word "customer service". How would the customer know if their order is right when the menu is not updated! Pizza showed up cold and not what's advertised. They wouldn't do anything about it and blame it on the customer. And oh they will just hang up on you! Never again! read more

do not eat here!!! it's a tourist trap!!! the sauce has no seasoning taste like straight up tomato paste and water!!! i ordered extra cheese, beef, and bacon and there was a couple sprinkles of bacon on only one slice and a few shred's of cheese you could see more sauce than cheese and when i called to complain he hung up in my face!!!! read more

I wish I could give zero stars..Not only was my delivered food wrong, but they wanted to CHARGE ME $10 EXTRA for the food I actually wanted. Also we got no compensation for THEIR mistake, did not get my food, and got stuck with something I didn't order.. I'm a pretty shy and anxious person and they just made me feel even worse..I'm here (in SC) for a family emergency, not vacation and I really do don't need this. They also ADMITTED that they were wrong and blatantly said they won't do anything else to help me. Never again. read more

Ate 2/3 of the pizza before being able to take a picture... They delivered to the room at our hotel- delivery was fast and everyone was incredibly friendly. Great experience and would recommend to anyone staying in the area looking for quick good pizza ! read more

Pizza Shak - Meat lover's pizza - Pizza Near Me - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Me and my family get pizza from here every time we visit multiple times a year. Hands down best pizza in Myrtle Beach and incredibly underrated! It's a must try if you're ever down here. Also the salads are solid and try the meatballs and marinara, I brought my aunt here earlier this year and we stayed 3 days and she loved the meatballs so much that she ordered them all 3 days we were here and than again for on the way home lol. Great place and great, quality foods! read more

I grew up in Buffalo, so when it comes to stuff like Pizza and Wings, I have an absurd standard for what can be considered good. My definition of average pizza is what most folks living in the rest of the USA would call a life-changing experience. Now that the buffalo pizza hyperbole is out of the way, let me just say that Pizza Shak is really good. Not "good for a place that's open til 5 am". Not "good for a place in a tourist town". Not "good for a place that isn't in Buffalo". This place is just good. This place could hang with the best from my town, the self proclaimed and hitherto undisputed best-pizza-ever town. Its not a pretty place. The dining room isn't particularly large or clean or stylish or modern, but that's fine. That's exactly how it has to be. This place exists in a place outside time or space, floating through the void of the cosmos where the only thing that matters is good pizza. Time is irrelevant*. Buffalo is irrelevant. Pizza is life. Pizza Shak. *irrelevant until 5am, at which point time becomes relevant and Pizza Shak becomes closed. read more

Pizza was really tasty, rich with flavor. It was ready just 15 minutes after we ordered. The front of the place could use some outside improvements to help them stand out. Inside they have tables but the lighting isn't very inviting to stay and eat. It is perfect for take-out though. By the outward appearance you'd never know how good the pizza actually is. Give it a chance. We'll be back. read more

Pizza Shak - Medium pizza. - Pizza Near Me - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Only place open... next time I'll wait until breakfast. Don't waste your money. I'd rather go to a chain or eat a frozen pizza. 5 star reviews must be employees or their family. Seriously, don't waste time ordering, unless you're trying to punish yourself. read more

Just OK, nothing special. Ordered a med veggie pizza and lg greek salad. Salad had decent toppings. Flavor of pizza was pretty generic. read more

Pizza Shak - Med veggie pizza, looks good but flavor was just OK - Pizza Near Me - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

I do not know how the pizza is because it was never delivered. My teenage daughter ordered after I was asleep. There was no knock on the door, no phone call to hotel room and no record of my cell phone contacted. The manager was a very rude man when I called to question the issue. I had tried calling all day but they do not open until 5. We ordered from Ultimate California Pizza two nights before and it was wonderful. I hate that a different place was used. **Poor attitude and customer service especially in a tourist area. read more

I ordered the Surf & Turf pizza from this establishment 2 days ago and got it. No problem. I was even corrected by the nice lady on the phone because I asked for the shrimp Alfredo pizza and she restated "Surf and Turf". My wife then ordered that same pizza and asked for it as the "Surf and Turf" pizza. The man on the phone didn't know what she was talking about so she explained what was on the pizza. When the delivery driver arrived he gave my wife stuffed shells. We had the driver call his "boss" who said that to get the pizza my wife originally wanted, we would need to pay $10 extra dollars to meet the price of the pizza. I was told that I would have to pay $10 extra for an error on the part of the restaurant. My other option was to take away the tip. The driver hasnt done anything wrong for me to do that. Never order from here. read more

We had a Pepperoni Pizza, Philly Cheese Steak Pizza and a Combination Pizza delivered to Ocean Forest Plaza! It took almost an hour to arrive. Pizza was warm and good. read more

I order food from Pizza Shak all the time. The service is great, delivery is usually very fast, and the food is tasty. Very large portions for salads, pizza is good, subs and breadsticks are great, and I love the teriyaki wings! Price is reasonable for the area. And to all of those people complaining about the delivery fee, all pizza places have one now and take a moment to consider that they are delivering you food until 5am!!!! read more

Got a meat lovers pizza large that was not a large by any means. Also extremely overpriced for the quality and quantity of meat.

Awful service. I called to order a small pepperoni. I was put on hold three times and then told (very rudely) that I could not call in an order. read more

The only reason I'm giving them one star is because that was my only choice. I ordered chicken and they called me back saying they had no chicken. I ordered a substitute and they said they said they would charge $10 more. I said I didn't agree and I was going to rate them. They then hung up on me. I will be contacting their supervisors. I don't know about the food because I cancelled my order. read more

Phenomenal customer service, speedy prep time. Very convenient hours and reasonable rates.. prepared the wrong pizza, made up for it with 2L soda on the house and the 2nd pizza no charge. Excellent experience esp. for 02:47am read more

Pizza Shak - the front of a restaurant at night - Pizza Near Me - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Best delivery pizza I've ever had. Light soft crust, tasty sauce & a fair amount of toppings.

Delivered in a dang hurricane... still hot & delicious! Crust was awesome. I highly recommend the BBQ chicken pizza! Generous toppings, no soggy spots in the crust, flavorful but not too salty, reasonably priced. Oh and the elevator was out... Guy hoofed it 6 floors. Very impressed. read more

The pizza was good, not amazing. It came out quick( 10-15 minutes). The service was sub par. The drink machine was down, the only drink they had to offer was pepsi by the two liter. Honestly would recommend if your up late craving pizza, it really hits the spot. Not too many places open at 4am serving fresh pizza. read more

3 I have done business with Pizza Shak for over 20 years so it saddens me to be writing this review. I called and ordered one of my favorite dishes not knowing the Pizza Shack is under new ownership. The first thing I noticed was that the price has gone up considerably and when I asked about that I was told that it was a delivery charge for insurance. I placed the order anyway and got my food. It tasted very differently, had a funny taste to it and just wasn't good at all so I called back and ask for the manager and explained to him that it wasn't good. "John " said that he would send me something different and I was good with that. An hour later I called back and asked John "do you know when it will be delivered". John said "all of my drivers are out, they haven't come back yet and I don't know when we will get it to you". I called back again, about 15 minutes later, and ask for his bosses name explaining that I felt it was extremely unprofessional and that I had never heard of anywhere telling a customer they didn't know when they would get their food. John told me he did not give out information on his boss and that he was the general manager and there was nothing he could do. 21/2 hours later I called again, this time John said he was not going to replace the order. When I ask why he said "I just can't". I'm stillin shockover thewhole thingand out $20 with tip. I guess he was just appeasing me with agreeing to replace the order and never had any intentions to do anything. Such a shame they used to have great did and service! Unbelievable! Horrible service! read more

Myrtle Beach staple. 'The J' is the best pizza I've had! My boyfriend and I order it all the time!!!

Awesome. Great services awesome workers a little dirty but reasonable prices! Even gave us 2L pops on the house...awesome!

I wouldn't rate this establishment exceptional by any means. I've have pizza from Domino's and Papa John's that have tasted as good if not better. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, and while I was not disappointed, I was not as impressed as all the positive reviews everyone else has posted about this 33 year old establishment. The pizza I received was mediocre to good at best, with an added 3 dollar charge for delivery. I have made pizzas in established pizza parlors and tried many other pizza parlors in the 20 years that I've been eligible to work. In my opinion this place remains a staple in this area because of the drunken clientele to which they really cater. Their food is good at best, but not worth a $20 bill for a 12 inch pizza delivered to your room and then expected to tip the driver. I completely understand their business practice, but steer clear if you're expecting good pizza for a reasonable price. Order from Domino's or Papa John's if that's what you want. I think next time I'm in town and need to eat really late, I'll order from here for take out. read more

I ordered delivery. The delivery guy wasn't super late. It definitely wasn't early. The pizza wasn't great. It wasn't terrible. Needless to say, it got the job done. Drunk hunger = satisfied. Culinary experience, seek elsewhere. read more

Over priced junk..we ordered from there since it was opened late night and we were starved after a long drive from Charleston..any way..pizza was cold..lasagna was gross..and the salad was brownish..now..since we are locals..we have had this place before and it was pretty good..but I had heard through the "restaurant gossip mill" that the place had changed hands..well..maybe they need to be changed again and washed with some soap and water..just saying.. read more
