I will start by saying I tend to gravitate more towards Meats even though I do love pizza. The majority of the time I go there for my family the chicken is very dry. Sometime the chicken has a starting to taste burnt flavor. Never bad, but it is there. Even when the very kind staff bring out piping hot new chicken, it is almost rubbery. I think it is how they brine it because the flavor is great. The salt is worked all the way through the chicken. They do a chicken wing night on Thursdays that I was excited for and wish they would use far less sauce on the wings. It is a great place for little kids that want all of these items. Nothing is inedible, I am just giving reasons for my low score. read more

Just left Pizza Ranch in Muskegon in the six years I have been going this is the worst experience I have ever had. I know you can't do much about loud obnoxious guests that sit right behind you but you can do something about the staff that encourages and participates in such disruption. The manager Brook was very aware of the situation because she was told. She engaged longer than most. I am not against people talking and interacting by no means but when you and a guest are the only ones to be heard in a restaurant full of people and know you are disturbing other guest that paid the same as everyone else to enjoy their meal be professional and run your restaurant. And this is the very first time in six years I have been going was the whole crew stomping and marching and clapping around the restaurant. I understand there are favorite guests. As a paying customer as well we should be treated with the same consideration especially when you were already told there was a problem. Unfortunately that is my last visit to Pizza Ranch simply because there is no consideration for all the guests just a chosen few. This is a first and the last. I had to give one star but really I give it no stars so very disappointed tonight. read more

Always enjoy the salad bar, chicken dinner buffet and of course the pizza bar. Staff at the Sherman Road location are friendly and courteous. This location is always clean plus has a game room so restless kiddos have a separate area to burn off some energy! read more

Pizza Ranch is one of the best things about America. When you enter Pizza Ranch you feel like you are family. The superb General Manager Shawn has gone to excessive measures to assemble the best lineup of employees imaginable. Great food!! Great service!! The lighting is perfect. The cleanliness is spectacular. I will be bringing my family to Pizza Ranch every month!! Best chicken in the USA!! Best staff of any establishment in Muskegon. Thank you Shawn and staff for making a place my family can visit and grow old!! This is our second home!! read more

I can't believe I'm doing this, but this place is 5 stars excellent! Normally you go to a buffet and you know what to expect - lukewarm and picked-over food, a place in need of a good scrubbing, somewhat absent waitstaff, and sometimes a hefty bill. This place is completely opposite. They were so friendly and warm when we arrived. They explained the buffet, and even that we could request a specific pizza for them to add to the buffet if we wished. Everything was well-stocked, clean, and organized. Drink station had lots of soft drink and tea options, with also a couple of coffee options. Everything was clean and in working order. Now, the food. The fried chicken was absolutely delicious! It was hot and crispy, with perfectly cooked, fall off the bone chicken inside. They had plenty of it, and none of it was fossilizing like you might see at other places. The salad bar was expansive and had everything I like for my salad. They had tons of vegetable, meat, and cheese options, with crunchy additions, pudding, and sides for other buffet foods like sour cream and butter. The cheesy breadsticks were delicious, they tasted like Pizza Hut cheese sticks but less greasy. They have a marinara sauce station for dipping. The pizza was excellent - it's all very thin crust, very small pizza so one or two pieces probably won't cut it. But this way we got to try several types of toppings instead of being stuffed after one slice. The dessert pizzas looked great, though I didn't have any myself. My friend got a small helping of the vanilla soft serve and it was delicious just as expected. I had to force my friend to come to a pizza buffet because it doesn't sound too great out loud. But he kept going back for more and more! He and I both had a wonderful meal with a wonderful waitstaff. This place hires quality workers who come to your table with a smile. They are quick and efficient, and I was sure to leave them a few dollars for their hard work! Although I am not from this area, and it would be quite a drive, I would drive out of the way to visit a Pizza Ranch again! Thank you for a great meal and experience! read more

Absolutely loved this little place ! Best of both worlds , pizza and the best chicken ever! Indiana girl loved this place ! They definitely have this restaurant figured out , kids can eat ,play games and it's not over priced at all ! read more

I experienced Pizza Ranch for the first time after hearing my boyfriend's family rave about their pizza and the fried chicken. The buffet consists of fried chicken, pizza, mashed potatoes, homemade potato chips, biscuits and gravy, veggies (they're canned, let's just be honest here), a salad bar, and a dessert bar with soft serve ice cream. The ambiance are sort of Western/cowboy themed. Make sure you COME HUNGRY!!! There are probably 12-15 kinds of pizza on the buffet at any given time. However, if you want a pizza made special for you, they'll do it and you get first dibs. The rest of the pizza can either stay at your table or will be added to the buffet. Lunch is $10.25 and dinner is $12.49 with drinks included. I would imagine they have a rate for children, but I didn't notice it. Staff seemed very friendly and attentive with clearing off our plates. Make sure to download the Pizza Ranch app. You earn points and if you're going with a big group, you'll earn those points even quicker! I got a $10 reward from our lunch outing. Rewards are only good for 60 days, so I'll have to go back to Pizza Ranch soon...but it'll likely be the one in Elkhorn, WI. as that's the closest one to me. read more

food was ok but worst service I've ever experienced no service at our table no nothing it felt like we were racially profiled no help and people were rude so rude we got up and left after 30 minutes and we paid almost $100 just to eat plus they put us in the back felt im feeling so disgusted right now from being discriminated we were the only black family in the back of restaurant with no service. I will never come back read more

Stop in for a family get together, very impressed with great service, food and ice cream. Staff kept our dirty plates picked up and took special order pizza requests. Ice cream machine put out a quality tasting creamy vanilla ice cream. Fried chicken on the buffet line was fresh and hot, some of the best I ever tasted. read more

The food itself wasn't amazing itself but the sanitation was definitely why this place gets 1 star from me, it was dirty and the tables weren't sanitized they just wiped them with a wet napkin. DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

Trying this pizza place for the first time. They offered a combo order of chicken, mash potatoes, gravy, catus bread and pizza. The chicken was moist, tasty, and yummy. The pizza was good tasting for a combo. The catus bread was very sweet but pretty delicious if you like strudel. The only issue we had was we called them to let them know we got their 10 minutes early. Somehow the staff did not talk to each other and we ended up waiting 25 minutes more because they did not know we were waiting at curbside until we called again asking about our order. read more

Bit expensive for the quality of food. More like the Golden Coral IMO not worth 15 person.

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Staff were kind and funny just great overall place to stop.

Good selection of pizza, salad, chicken, bread sticks and dessert bar. The food was fresh. Not too busy. Kinda pricey for a lunch buffet on Saturday. We didn't plan on eating much but at $25 for two, were going to eat or monies worth. read more

We came here after several very bad experiences at 'The Red Tomato' on Sternberg Ave the past few months. Pizza is very good for a buffet and they will make whatever you want and bring it to you promptly (unlike Red Tomato where you can wait nearly an hour for a nasty pizza). The chicken is amazing and rivals dedicated chicken places, even higher end (I think it is much better than Zhenders in Frankenmuth, MI which really screwed with my head being a buffet and all). Juicy, and hot with the perfect blend of herbs and spices. Price was good, and the fountain drinks were mixed right and not watered down. Staff was EXTREMELY friendly and attentive. Overall a very positive experience and we will be coming back! read more

Gotta rate this as very good. Went not knowing what to expect. The fried chicken was very good. And the mashed potatoes with sawmill gravy was nice. I tried a couple slices of pizza, the stuffed crust was very tasty. The salad bar has a very good selection and although the only ice cream is soft serve vanilla it was very good. The drinks are included and they offer Hi C fruit punch! I will definitely be visiting again. read more

First of all this is 4 stars based on how good a pizza buffet could be... so don't come here expecting gourmet food. This isn't Vegas - everywhere else buffets will never contain anything but the bear minimum of what is reasonably considered the food item it is supposed to represent. That being said... PIZZA RANCH IS GREAT! The pizza was actually quite good. Glad it is thin crust as you can try more. They had lots of options out and I didn't feel depressed immediately upon walking in. I have to say though, don't underestimate the breadsticks... SO GOOD! One of my favorite things I had there. My fiance tried the BBQ Chicken and said it was much better then it should be (albeit a little cold). The other nice thing is if you have any requests, they are happy to fill those for you. The cool thing about this is that I saw them bring the pizza to the table and serve it to you before putting it on the buffet if you had requested it. Just a nice extra step. But don't waste all your time on the entrees... and I wish someone would have prepared me for this... the Cactus Bread? A-MAZ-ING. Not to be missed. The icing (har har) on top? They have [not very good] coffee to go with the dessert pizza. It was just all the extra little touches that made me love you, Pizza Ranch. I miss you, already!!! read more

One of the better dining establishments in Muskegon, I always enjoy a meal at Pizza Ranch! The staff is friendly and quick to take special requests for the pizza buffet. The selection on the buffet is delicious and suited to many different tastes - from plain cheese and buffalo chicken pizza to mashed potatoes and fried chicken! Their salad bar (included with the pizza buffet) is exceptional, as well! When I dine here, I feel at home. It's a relaxed atmosphere and I truly enjoy the experience. read more

I'm not a fan of the pizza here - too much sauce for my taste. BUT...the fried chicken here is the best I have ever had!!! My 12 year old son asks to go here, not for pizza, but for the chicken. I think he ate 4 large pieces PLUS a plateful of chicken fries. The staff here are very polite and helpful. You can tell that the management has stressed the importance of customer service! We will be back! read more

On our way to silver lake and wanted something quick but good. Looked to Yelp and came across pizza ranch. Very unassuming when you pull into the plaza. We called our order in for pickup. Chose was the greater. Excellent choice! Chase was super friendly and just who you would want at the start of a restaurant visit. The pizza was realy good. We had a medium traditional crust with pepperoni, onions, light sauce and extra cheese on half. We also had the cheesy breadsticks. Both had great garlic flavor. So glad we stopped. read more

Was on our way to Rebel Road 2018. Stopped here based on reviews. Pizza buffet was hot, had an included salad and dessert bar. Drinks included. Not bad at all. Staff was all very friendly. Five stars all day long. Very good food. The only thing I've noticed on both trips were, the pimple faced wait staff just don't come by and take your plates. You find yourself looking for some place to ditch the dishes. Other than that great tasting food and great atmosphere. Now as far as the grand rapids location goes, Well save your money. It's not very good at all. The chicken is greasy and the pizza is bland and tasteless. read more

I decided to order a pizza for the first time in ages. I then decided to give Pizza Ranch a try. I spent 15 minutes going over their menu, like you do with a new place...but it's worth it to find a new go-to pizza place, right? Another 10 minutes placing my order and BANG, after all of that I am advised "Delivery requires a minimum $60 order". Really? The $5 delivery fee (and tip) isn't adequate to cover your trouble at satisfying a customer? Yours is a buffet, how would my order be problematic given you make pizza all day long? I gave 2 stars as I can't speak for food quality and wanted to be reasonable. Granted, I'm an old lady, maybe this is a thing...if so it explains why America struggles with weight issues _ 2 humans and a pup would be hard pressed to eat $60 in pizza. Oh well, off to finding my REAL new go-to pizza place, one that likes me, really, really likes me (couldn't help but using that reference lol). read more

The Pizza Ranch has the best Pizza Buffet in town hands down they practically have nearly everything from salad to dessert pizza it's awesome they have some of the best Pizza around I love coming to have lunch here it's a great place for a pizza lover read more

Most pizza buffets feature very minimal pizzas...the kind you would send back to the kitchen if you ordered it for yourself and 'that' was what was brought to you...NOT the case with the Muskegon Pizza Ranch. All the pizzas look great, the toppings are abundant, and the variety is, in my opinion, "just right". Really nice salad bar. The soups and chicken are great. MY absolute favorite...the dessert pizzas! We are completely addicted to the Cactus Bread (a dessert pizza with a cinnamon streusel). The restaurant is very clean. The staff is very friendly. The price is more than fair. A year or two ago it was hard to pass up the Red Tomato and drive farther to Pizza Ranch because Red Tomato was considerably less expensive...that is NOT the case any more. The prices are within a dollar of each other making Pizza Ranch now the better value. read more

Food is great, vintage lesbian couple behind me is wonderful. Music is very country, lost one star.

I am a pizza connoisseur I might say! Lol, but this place is great. The staff is really friendly, and helpful. The food is also good.

It's crazy how good a pizza buffet could be. So many options with above average quality for a buffet. Seemed to be relatively fresh the whole time and the service was great. Definitely an outstanding service style of a buffet with a greats set of staff. read more

I was in town on vacation and I'd never even heard of Pizza Ranch, but I checked out their website and figured it was worth a shot. Wow, I'm glad I did. Their buffet is just awesome. The pizza in general is fine, nothing special but not bad at all, although several people with me noted that the taco and BLT pizzas were especially good. What really sets Pizza Ranch apart from regular pizza buffets are all the non-pizza items. The dessert pizzas and "cactus bread" were great. Likewise the fried chicken was simply amazing when it is piping hot, especially when topped with some of the sauces (buffalo, BBQ, etc.). Also, this place was very kid-friendly with items like chicken fries and fresh chips. Other items of note were the potato wedges and cheesy bread sticks. I didn't have anything I didn't like. The service was very good, and I really liked how they would make any special-request pizza for you and bring it right to your table when you order the buffet. I don't even remember what I paid, but whatever it was, it was worth it because that was an awesome meal. The whole family loved it. If I'm ever in town again, I'm coming here. read more

The pizza? Skip it! It's nothing special. Head straight for the chicken. It is amazing! Juicy inside, crispy outside, delicious flavor. The ranch potatoes are wedges fried in the Sam batter as the chicken, and worth the calories. Follow chicken with a slice of cactus bread. You will not be sorry! Great meal, great value. read more
