I can't say enough good things about this place! As someone with gluten sensitivity, eating out can be stressful--but not here. They offer gluten-friendly pizza and went above and beyond to make sure there was no cross-contamination. The staff took it seriously, and the owner even came out personally to talk with me. She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure her customers get a great experience !The pizza was delicious, and the small town homey vibe made us feel right at home even if we are far from home. We ordered a couple pizzas for take out on a Sunday night. There was a slight wait, but it was worth it for the hot and fresh pizza. We ordered the meat lovers and chicken bacon pizza (I think) they were fantastic! The meat lovers was my favorite. It's like a layered pizza with a cheese topping, it's absolutely fantastic and super hearty. 1.5 pieces filled me up. I was kind of blown away. It is open on Sunday, that is a very big deal up there in small town Nebraska as most towns shut completely down on Sunday. This place makes a good pizza. It takes a while, so you have to be patient. The staff was friendly and the pizza came out in a timely fashion. The pizza was good, not as good as it was hyped up to be. I can categorize pizza in to a few categories: the franchise pizza, the take and bake pizza, the frozen pizza, but this one falls into the "your mom use to make pizza," which is great. I can recall countless times I want a pizza that was made with fresh ingredients, not too greasy, but piled with a thick lair of cheese (yep, just like your mom use to make). Food is decent. Ordered many times with large orders too, but the last few times the owner gives me a price and then I get the bill and it's always $5-10 more than what was given over phone. When we discussed food, tax, and tip. Unreliable and not fair. During this corona period they have a clear sign half off for first responders but when you call them the owner yells at you and complains he's giving his good away. Shady people do not order from there. Kept giving them a try but they keep failing. Sorry lost a customer. read more

Passing through Burwell from Mpls to Phoenix, we camped a night and found this place on Google (Yelp says they're closed on Monday, that's incorrect) So glad they were open. We ordered the Southwest Chicken as we are strictly BBQ Chicken pizza eaters. I put the order in as we were about 20 minutes out, and it was ready just when we arrived. The gals were very nice and the pizza was delicious. The pics looked like it was deep dish, and a small is plenty for two normal sized people It was not an overly thick bready pizza. I don't know how they make it, but we loved it. Not their fault, mine, I usually order extra BBQ sauce and forgot. We thought it could have used more, but that's just us. Sorry, no pic. We were starving after our 11 hour day and devoured it. We travel from AZ to MN every summer but have not come through Burwell before. It might stay on our navigation now just for the pizza. Friendly staff, great pies. This is some of the best pizza I have had. They have a large area in the back that is great for groups. The crust on our pizza was crispy and tasted great. They put the toppings under a thick layer of cheese that is golden on top and chewy throughout. Highly recommend!! read more

I just previously purchased some cinnamon sticks in hopes of having a quality product. But when I open them when I arrive home, I soon realize to my disappointment that the cinnamon sticks were severely burned! This is the second time this has happened in the last month. The sticks were almost charcoal black on the bottom and were almost inedible. I truly love the pizza palace, I just wish the product was more consistent!! read more
