We had to try the pizza as their name indicates. The pizza dough tastes good and the thin crust is not too crispy and not too flimsy. The toppings are enough to cover the pizza with ample cheese, just the right amount. We had the Antonio pizza and a ham and cheese pizza for the kids. They ate it up! We started our meal with Garlic Mozzarella Crust. No dipping sauce needed for this as the cheese and garlic flavor was enough. So good! The Sizzling Prawns were cooked in a small metal skillet and served with a size of bread (see pic). The sauce isn't the typical marinara sauce. This was homemade and it's obvious. The sauce was full of flavor, thick but not creamy, and complimented the prawns well without being overpowering with an acidic tomato flavor. Perfectly balanced. We would have tried dessert but we were full. Not heavy greasy type of full, not at all. The food is rich in flavor. Two pizzas and two appetizers were enough for my family of 5 which include 3 men. Stop by Pizza Rocco for a friendly local welcome and good food. The staff and owners themselves were so welcoming and friendly. We saw local after local coming in for take out. That's a good sign.

The calzones are well worth a try, the use of traditional Italian ingredients like Gorgonzola and prosciutto mixed with their own sauce recipe is exceptional. The only negative I've found is that the restaurant is not big enough, so if you want to eat in and don't make a booking you might have to wait a while. I eat at Rocco's regularly and have not experienced any bad service yet.

Unfortunately the place is very brightly lit with paper on the tables, gah. It would have been more romantic to sit in the car eating pizza. We had the meat lover pizza with chicken, and gosh it would make a strong-willed vegetarian cringe. It was so meaty and delicious. They really go crazy with the toppings! The pasta was a let-down. We had the Sorentino. Apparently there were sun-dried tomatos and pine nuts in the dish, somewhere, hiding from us. I didn't believe them, honestly. The plate was just pasta, cream and napoli sauce.
