Since I got the deal, I totally enjoyed it as the cost of my food was quite cheap for what we got. I ended up ordering the "Il Padrino (Romana style) - chicken, roasted tomatoes, chargrilled vegetables, tomato & pesto base." (Refer to the picture I posted!) I also ordered this on THIN CRUST. This made it extra delicious because it wasn't heavy. The vegetables were nice and roasted ... the one thing I would say about this pizza ... I couldn't taste the pesto. Soo, where was the pesto? Other than the fact that I couldn't taste the pesto, it was great. Service was a little slow, but it was fine. This place is very open, so the acoustics aren't so great. If you are looking for quiet and intimate, this is not your place. Although it's not a place where you are screaming, it can get loud.

Their prices are very reasonable, and they frequently have "buy one get another one free" offers. If you're eating in, the restaurant is not that great, and looks more like a fast food place. However, their speciality is the Caspian Sauce that they do, which they also sell at a low price. All in all, not a great place if you are after a nice meal out, but a good offer of quality pizzas for a low price for takeaway and home delivery.

It's not anything extraordinary or anything but it does the trick, especially after a night spent partying hard over the road at Academy. Beware though, this place shuts around half 2 generally so you'll want to maybe leave the club to grab a pizza box before you grab your taxi. I always go for the Veggie Hot or Mexican Hot pizzas (an idiotic choice when drunk) but they're scrumptious and I usually do that well sexy thing of waking up to a breakfast slice left in the box. The prices are good and, although I haven't ever ordered in for delivery (you have to spend over 8 quid to get delivery, btw), there are plenty of great combo deals for families and a wide-ranging selection of toppings. Cheaper than Dominos and quite nearly as tasty too, Pizza Planet gets a thumbs up from me.

The staff are always polite and talkative (sometimes a little too talkative!) and the prices are very reasonable. No real parking facilities are available outside, but the Floors 2 Go a few doors down has a sizeable pay and display which is usually pretty quiet. Inside, Toy Story murals are painted on the walls, in keeping with the 'Pizza Planet' theme, but other than this nice touch, the seating area and interior look pretty much identical to your average fast food takeaway. Depending on what you order, you may have to wait around a while whilst the staff prepare it for you, but if you're going for a pizza, I can promise you that you won't wind up disappointed. Situated right opposite Birmingham's O2 Academy, Pizza Planet can get incredibly busy on big concert nights and in the early hours of Saturday morning, as the O2's Indie club night Propaganda runs every Friday without fail until 3am. This Ask looked like a decent option because there were so few people dining, but read on. Few people made us (with our masks) feel "safe" but sadly the server wore no mask (why?) and then positioned right next to another table with two diners (why?). So I moved us to a more isolated table. I wish I had taken pictures of the food but we were so hungry that we started before I took pics! Mrs G had the sea bass, I had the lasagne. Mrs G enjoyed the small portion of fish served with a few vegetables (small potatoes and small tomatoes as we recall) and mine was a rather mediocre lasagne. One thing we had in common - after eating our meals we were still starving hungry. I suspect that portion sizes have shrunk somewhat compared with our previous experience with other "Ask" diners (which perhaps explains why the restaurant was so empty lunchtime on a Saturday).
