Thank God for Sole d'Oro, part of the Saracino pizza chain, authentic Neapolitan pizza with oomph! I ordered my usual, 4 seasons, which appeared as if by magic from the wood fired oven within minutes. Thin crispy bubbly base, generous tasty toppings plus fresh basil leaves just picked from the garden. Belly full, smile back on my face, who cares about the weather now? Italians Do It Better :)

Attentive waiter, took order.... garlic bread pizza was great.... then the main courses came and it all went rapidly downhill. All the food tasted "past its shelflife". Clearly cooking from frozen or with ingredients that have been hanging around far too long. The lasagne, spaghetti bolognaise and pasta seafood all tasted old, a bit rancid and bland. The lasagne I ate, I was hungry but actually didn't want to eat too much for fear of getting food poisoning. The pasta was a bit gooey as it was old and already decomposing. This restaurant is terrible, I will never go back.
