The owner and chef, Adolfo, makes the experience so much awesome. I've eaten at Michelin rate restaurants in Paris and other parts of the world and this place it right up there too. Do try the steak tartare! Try all the specials! I have the duck confit (special) and it was cooked to 3 hrs of perfection. The wine selection is small but I hate going through pages of the wine list at most places anyway. I had a nice Chilean Cab and yeah I know some of the wine snobs may be shocked I didn't go with a white for my duck but I really don't care. Food was great, the small ambiance was delightful,service is top notch and Adolfo definitely has a passion for his food. Do yourself a favor and experience this gem when you're in town. This was probably the worst meals we had on our two week Brazil trip. The pizza was entirely ordinary as well with a hard rubbery crust. Apart from the (lack of) food quality, the ambiance wasn't particularly charming either. We spoke only broken Portuguese but certainly didn't deserve the scorn of the wait staff, who were unanimously curt and borderline rude. The kitchen also kept spewing smoke in our direction which caused some serious eye burn. Not exactly sure what they were cooking, err, burning in there. I pity the customers who had to eat it! In sum, find a different place. My cat can make better food. And she's less grumpy to boot!

They had an English menu as well, which was great since I don't speak Portuguese. We parked in the valet and were immediately sat when we walked in. They even let you pick your seat. The vibe of the restaurant is very old school Italian/ rustic. We ordered the bread basket and I ordered the pumpkin gnocchi for my main course. It was amazing; absolutely terrific. I wish I could eat it every day. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked and the flavor of the sauce was so delicious. They give you very big portions too so you could definitely share the meal with someone. I will make sure to come back here when I am back in the area! One of my favorite meals I had in Brazil.
