We had Cozze Ripieni (almost obligatory when in Vieste), seafood risotto and grilled calamari. All delicious and served with flair. Great local winelist to accompany the meal. They're in a unique location on the southern bluffs of the old town in a unique indoor setting. Well worth your consideration...one of the better dinner experiences we had in Vieste over two trips.

The atmosphere was bright, well decorated and warm for a September evening. All wait staff we interacted with were kind and helpful making the dining event one of the best we have had in the Apulian region. Dinners were carefully selected ( see pictures below) and prepared with care and taste worthy. Selections for all of our desires. Wine recommendations were spot on to match our dinner selections. We read some of the reviews and it was time for an updated and five star rating. If you are looking for an awesome dining experience, come try fort yourself. Family vacation in Italy…read morebrought me to Bari area and after 7 hour drive from southern Italy in September my family and I checked into a cute hotel and asked for restaurant recommendations--it was a Thursday evening in September and there was not many places available. Side note--locals tend to eat a late dinner so a lot of Italian restaurants open late (this one I believed opened at 7:30pm). It's a little more upscale than the others I had seen. For instance, the other restaurants in area offer a "menu touristico" which is pretty much a 3-course meal at a set price. This location was mainly a la carts and although prices were higher they weren't terribly high. We spent about €80 for dinner for five people which included beer and sparkling water. The ambiance looks classy and upscale (we felt a little underdressed)--service was decent. Food had mixed reviews. Portions looked small but I felt were pretty filling. The good comments on food were that the sauce in pasta tasted very fresh and the pasta (which was handmade) was also very good. So so comments were that some of the dishes were too salty. Personally I had the spaghetti with olives and sausage so that's the only one I can truly speak to--the pasta was perfectly al dente (which I find hard to do at home with spaghetti) the sauce resembled fresh crushed tomatoes and not watery or oily at all. I don't eat olives that much but I think that's what made the dish salty for my Dad who ordered the same thing. The sausage is crumbled sausage and is mixed into sauce. If your looking for white glove experience type dinner then check this place out.

Our shard Venetian mussels were delicious, the first pasta course was not only masterly crafted, but sizewise almost to share. The main course, a whole grilled fish, just amazing. Desserts, and had tried a few are very yummy. My favorite was the ricotta cake. Don't forget an assortment of some very local after dinner drinks.
