I only order two slices of cheese and a soda. It's a ritual when I'm stressed around the holidays…read moreand I need comfort food. This is my go-to pizza from back in the day, when the days were long and the paychecks light, I'd grab two slices, eat them there, and take a six pack back to my dark basement lair to plot my revenge on whatever life inflicted on me that week. It's so easy to order, the pie is brought to our table, and it feels like the majority of business is pu/delivery because the tables are usually occupied by people waiting for their orders, not diners. It's always too hot to eat, so I commit the sin of knife-and-forking the first slice because I can't wait. I don't want to over-sell it because everybody's preference for pizza is selective but this pie is best because it is consistently tasty, hot, and hearty. It's not gourmet or artisian. It is street pizza made with care and practice. Like a lot of strip mall stalls, the winter cold invades the dining room every time someone crosses the threshold. There's nothing to block it from the tables near the entrance. The beer cooler has a standard assortment of singles and half-cases with decent prices. Again, I'm not telling you it's the greatest pizza you will ever eat, but in a town where you have to be more specific about how many brothers or whose brothers are in the name of the restaurant, Brother Joe's is consistently satisfying.

As an American of mostly Italian heritage, I loves me some pizza. Today between a visit to the eye…read moredoctor and a job interview, I had a small window for lunch. Ironically, it was the window of 2 Brothers Pizza that drew me in. I was immediately hit with small-town nostalgia, haven born and raised in Carbondale, Pa., and lived in Old Forge, the self-proclaimed "Pizza Capitsl of the World". The vibe inside was authenticity, and made me feel like I was home from college and hitting my favorite slice shop I was in a time crunch, so slices were my predetermined choice. However I was super impressed with the slice pies behind the glass, from a variety and appearance standpoint. I couldn't take my eyes off of the Mest Lovers, so that was my first pick; loaded with bacon and sausage. I then spied the Buffalo Chicken and quickly decided that would complete my order. That was also the order in which I consumed them... I found myself taking massive bites, not because of my hunger level, because it was just that darn good! Crisp bacon crumbles toppled off with each trip to my face hole, but they couldn't escape their fate. What fell back to my plate became a little bonus bite once I finished. The crust was pan style and so remenicent of my all time favorites back home. Airy, crispy and just the right amount of juicy. The Buffalo slice impressed me with its true to its namesake spicy heat, not too much...just right. Awesome to s guy that once drove from Scranton to Buffalo and back in one night, just to go to the Anchor Bar. Even the old time menu behind the counter gave a feeling of home and belonging. I only regret that I didn't have time to investigate it further, especially the stormboli! Based on my visit today, I'm definitely going back when I've got time to sit and savor. The rest rooms were immaculate, and the guys behind the counter were friendly and kind.

There's nothing better than being on a real American Harley with that patented V-twin sound, riding through the countryside--wind blowing through your hair, sun beating on your skin, blue skies all around, and tunes playing while soaking in that freedom. All that riding worked up an appetite. I was driving down Route 22, coming from Indiantown Gap. Although I didn't see any Native Americans, I did happen to see two taco flags along the side of the road. Now, this was a Monday, so it wasn't Taco Tuesday--but I decided to break the rules and make it Taco Monday! I walked inside this pizzeria, only to realize I didn't see any tacos anywhere. So, I asked, "Where are the tacos, and are they actually any good?" Of course, the owner was honest and said, "I think my tacos are the best." My eyes lit up because I was eager to try them. Now, even though I'm on a pescatarian diet and don't really eat meat, I had to indulge in some lengua (and if you don't know what that is, just try it before you look it up!). He also gave me a birria taco without the dip, which was pretty much shredded beef--and well, I do not regret the decision. I also got a slice of pizza--well done, of course. Although it was a little over-burnt, the pizza sauce definitely made up for it. But bouncing back to the tacos: the corn tortilla wasn't my favorite. I normally prefer a traditional double tortilla, whereas this one only had one. However, the flavorful seasonings from the meat, the juices, and the nice sauce on the side made up for it. I washed it all down with a root beer so the heartburn wouldn't hit so hard. Do I highly recommend this place? It's a little far out of the way from Harrisburg, but it's definitely worth the drive. They have a beautiful view and plenty of seating inside. As for the bathroom... well, let's just say they are stocking the toiletries in there and it's a bit tight. But then again, the food settles well, so you don't even have to use it, if you catch my drift! That means they are washing their hands and wearing gloves while preparing the food, so you know it's safe and clean. They also have imported sodas, which is really nice for a change of pace. I definitely recommend this place for a good slice of pizza and some great tacos. I hope my review helps you figure out where you want to eat next! Everything was just stacked together in a takeout container with zero separation or any way to identify what was included. Zero utensils or napkins were provided either in spite of a salad in the order. The pizza was inedible. We picked this restaurant because of the good reviews but have never had a worse slice. The pizza left a burning taste in our mouths, so much so that we couldn't taste anything but the salt on the pizza. When we called the restaurant to ask if they could remake it, they told us this is what feta cheese tastes like (it most certainly isn't), they took zero accountability, fought with us over the pizza, and effectively said they wouldn't remake it because it was our taste buds and what if we didn't like it or a different pizza again. Two stars (up from one for service and the disgusting pizza) because the salad wasn't eventful or bad.
