Flavor/meat more earthy/hardy, less seasoned that what I've experienced in the U.S. They were quite good, but a bit different; no problem. The Waitress wasn't good. Every time we wanted her assistance, we had to wave her over. Prices were reasonable enough. Wine selection was fine.

It's the best way to order by the slice, soak in that classic pizzeria energy, and mingle with the crowd. We stood at the counter and tried the Mozzarella and the Fugazzeta. As a New Yorker who swears by thin crust, this thick, airy, Sicilian-style like pizza is a totally different beast, but I definitely understand the appeal. The Fugazzeta was a completely new experience for me. It's essentially a heavy base of dough and infused cheese buried under a massive layer of onions. It's rich and delicious, but the classic Mozzarella slice ended up being my favorite, perfectly balancing salty cheese with a slightly sweet tomato sauce. Come hungry because this pizza is no joke; it is very heavy, and two slices will easily fill you up. Overall, it's a solid spot worth visiting to experience a local staple, but don't expect a life-changing slice.

This establishment is divided into two sections: one is a lounge type setting for drinks and the…read moreother is more restaurant for eating. The empanadas are good, but I like empanadas in general and I have never had an empanada that I didn't like. Some of their empanadas are unusual. I had never heard of or tried an empanada that had sun dried tomatoes and arugula before. They serve open and closed empanadas. I hadn't had an "open" empanada before. The Americano pizza was rather strange to me. It's not like any pizza that I have ever had in the United States. First of all, we don't put potato chips on a pizza, but here, they do for the Americano pizza. For the most part, the pizza here is similar to "American Style" pizza like what is served in the USA. Opinion about what's the best pizza and where the best pizza is depends upon who is making the claim for pizza and where that person is. Some will either like it or not like it. I liked their pizza, but it's not the best pizza in the world. Their prices seemed reasonable for what they have, and they are cash only. If you think that you can put it on a credit card, don't. They take cash only.

Most of the customers seemed to be locals, but we even saw a group come in with carry-on suitcases, so clearly this place is a must-visit! The staff was friendly and patient, even with our limited Spanish. Just a note: Argentine cheese tends to be softer and fresher than what we're used to, so even if you are not lactose, there's a small chance you maybe here in Argentina.

All good as flight was great and the weather was awesome; however, as you can imagine at least for today many restaurants are closed.... Argh.... No worries though, after busting out the Yelp app and a little elbow grease we found a local pizza joint in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires that looked good, had a great vibe and yep was open! Kentucky is a chain pizza restaurant in Argentina but the locals love it and are he place was packed. After a few minutes we were at our table and our server was providing recommendations to our group. As mentioned before the vibe is great and remember your in Argentina so you need to slow things down a bit. Food will take awhile but then again that is pretty normal in most places in Buenos Aires. People really like to take their time, hang out and enjoy each others company. Hey when in Rome folks.... Strike up a conversation with the person next door and chill, you just might have a good time and make a friend! LOL. So we ordered a number of individual pizzas, hamburgers and empanadas and all were excellent. One recommendation as with most places in Argentina is to UBER in the evening and walk or bicycle during the day if you can. Street parking is available but if you are not used to driving in Buenos Aires, it can get tricky here so better to just use easier modes of transportation. Prices were very, very affordable as well but they usually are as exchange rates are sitting around $250 - $350 ARS to $1US so go ahead and snack on! Overall, we all really enjoyed the food and we will be back for lunch. Enjoy and Bon Appétit!
