Hostess then escorted us down to our table. The wait staff were able to recommend which dishes had hidden and obvious gluten (my niece is gluten intolerant) and which could be switched to gluten free
They brought out bread selections of their homemade breads and gluten free bread for my niece, served with local EVOO.
The fresh corn tamale with the smoked cream sauce was divine: the lightest, fluffiest masa with fresh corn and mushroom filling with a delicious smokey crema blanketing it. We used our bread to get every bit of the sauce.
I had the fresh tagliatelle with morels and liver pate sauce, while my sister had the roast suckling pig entree and my niece had the fresh black cod with beurre blanc sauce (which allowed us to use the bread to soak up the sauce)
We finished with surprise dessert from the kitchen, as we had noted in our reservation that we were celebrating birthdays.
The staff were welcoming and so kind. Definitely recommend for the food and the locale
