After spending a busy day moving in to a new flat I thought I would order a pizza. All the shops were shut as it was a Sunday so I thought I would give this place a call. The lady who answered the phone was really nice and had a pleasant manner. I asked if I could add extra garlic on my pizza and she said the chef didn't to extras- which was a little disappointing but easy enough to get over. I went for the vegetarian pizza and by the time it arrived I was starving. I opened the box and found a less than unappealing pizza. But I was sooo hungry, so I began eating it. The spinach was so over cooked it had turned into bad smelling mush and the rocket was yellow. I should have called and complained right there and then but I stupidly didn't. My husband had a slice as did my two daughters and they all agreed with me. Honestly the worst tasting pizza EVER! I called back and told them about what we had just eaten. The lady on the phone was very sympathetic, she explained that there was a new chef and offered to send out another pizza for free- I really didn't want another pizza, the first was disgusting enough for me. I then heard her asking the manager if she could offer a refund. She explained that the spinach was massively over cooked mush and the manager replied "that's how you bring out the flavour". She passed me over to the manager who was sooooooo unbelievably rude and aggressive. I told him about the pizza and he asked me how much was left. I said a slice and a half and that all the topping were scrapped off to make it edible. He scoffed and asked me if I was joking. I said no, it's Sunday myself and my family were hungry and we maybe should have sent it back when we got it but the idea of waiting another hour while a probably equally as vile pizza was cooked was just too much for me to bare after such a long day, after much debate and confrontation. He said that he'd send his driver around and if there was enough pizza left uneaten he would refund me. The driver arrived and I showed him the pizza. He's exact word were "are you having a laugh, you have eaten most of the pizza", I explained that regardless he can see the topping had all been scrapped off and the spinach mush had not been eaten. I pointed out that it was a really negative experience and in the interest of good customer service I would appreciate a refund or at least an apology. He said "are you kidding me, no, don't call us for a pizza again..you have wasted my time" I said that he was behaving very unprofessionally and he again said "yes but you have eaten most of the pizza and you have wasted my time". He then left and my neighbours having heard what had happened came and knocked on my door to ask if I was ok as the man that was talking to me was talking in a very aggressive manner. The bad food was reason enough for me to never call them again but the horrible way I was spoken to was what led me to write this review. Maybe I was wrong to ask for a refund but to talk to me with such contempt and aggression was really uncalled for and upsetting. read more
