Truly unbelievable, the lack of sympathy was simply astounding! I did have some cancellations but explained the situation and thought some grace and compassion would be extended to me during an actual life and death situation with my father. I was told previously if your account ever got flagged for short notice cancellations, you would simply be required to put down a deposit towards future appts which seemed perfectly reasonable to me. My stylist explained if you cancel with short notice again or have a no show, then you will forfeit your deposit (again this would have been perfectly understandable). After several emails back and forth with the owner, she explained that she felt the "cancellations would continue to happen" to which I responded how/why would you think that when I explained the situation and that my father is DEAD now?! I started going to this salon in 2020 and have spent a lot of money there. I've had just about every service offered including hair dyes (one of which was so awful it had to be corrected but not before the stylist tried to convince me it looked good when I asked for dark brown and came out looking like Morticia Adams). I will give credit where credit is due, I obviously was pleased with some of the services but thought others should know you will be told one thing regarding their cancellation policy and then afforded zero grace, compassion or empathy if you have to cancel for an actual life and death emergency situation.

Upgraded to a full hour for both the massage and the facial, added Shellac to the mani and pedi, and also had an eyebrow wax. The massage and facial were perfect, with special touches like Aveda oils and hot towels taking the services to the next level. Pedicure and manicure were pretty standard, and well worth the price. Wash and blow dry was standard. Eyebrow wax done with hard wax, which was slightly more painful than when done with muslin but didn't leave my eyebrows red after. Service provided the entire time was excellent, and the services were provided at an excellent value for what was received. They were able to squeeze me in for all these services with no notice on a Saturday. Only complaints, someone accidentally switched the music to Christian radio (whatever if this is your cup of tea, however not the most relaxing massage music), and the massage room was a little bit chilly. Neither of those things were errors by the spa or technicians and I only mentioned them for the sake of honesty. If I'm in Muskegon, I will be back!!
