As we all know, videographers ARE NOT cheap, but they're absolutely necessary if you really want to capture the magic of your wedding day for years to come. When I came across Chad's videos, I was stunned: they were so cinematic, beautiful, and full of emotion. Then, when I saw how affordable his packages were in comparison to other videographers, there was no doubt in my mind that I had found our videographer. We booked him right away, and he turned out to be one of our favorite vendors to work with. + VERY PROFESSIONAL: On our wedding day, the team set to work and knew exactly what to do and what to capture without getting in anybody's way. They only pulled me and/or my husband aside 2-3 times to "stage" a shot, but other than that, they left us alone to enjoy our special day. + CAPTURED EVERYTHING: The team captured all the special moments I was hoping to see: from the little things like our custom-made cake-topper and other décor, to the big things like our sparkler grand exit and my husband wiping away happy tears as he saw me coming down the aisle. They did a great job of dedicating more screen time to our bridal party and parents, but still zoned in on a variety of our guests so that everyone had a chance to shine. + VERY ACCOMODATING: Chad was more than happy to incorporate any requests I had for our video, which ranged from playing a particular song to incorporating a specific part of someone's speech. I really wanted our video to have certain elements, so it meant the world that Chad was so easy to work with. + QUICK TURNAROUND: We received our highlight video about 2 1/2 weeks after our wedding day. Our 2-3hrs of raw footage will take a little longer, but at least we have something to watch in the meantime. - QUALITY VARIES: I've noticed that the quality DOES vary depending on the package you choose. Some of the shorter, cheaper packages aren't as "cinematic." I really encourage you to take a look at the different videos on their website to determine what style you're looking for and how much it will cost. - MAY NOT BE ABLE TO MEET: With my Type A "perfectionist" personality, this was an issue for me at first. I was a very "hands-on" bride that wanted to double-triple-quadruple check every little detail with my vendors, so when Chad assured me that meeting wouldn't be necessary, I was very skeptical. However, he turned out to be right. We met him on the day of our wedding, and everything still turned out to be perfect. Just wanted to give other brides a heads-up! Overall, Chad and his team at Rethinkvideo were a delight to work with. We're very, very pleased with their work and we would definitely recommend them for all your videography needs. They have an eye to see things from the most flattering and unique angles. I booked them to cover 4 days of my wedding events and didn't meet anyone from the team until the day and hour of the events. Chad is a great communicator over phone/email and will do his absolute best to take care of all the details you want covered- no matter how long it takes! They have only covered a couple of Indian weddings so far, but I personally feel that their finished product is better than any other videography team that is super familiar with Indian weddings and their traditions. They were cooperative and very respectful of all traditions, customs and family members. I had some preferences for background music, and they completely worked with me and did a better job with my own music than if i could have arranged it myself. I am super excited to show my wedding video to my family and friends because I know they did a beautiful job of telling a story that is true to the personality of my husband and myself. Music Magic DJ ruined my wedding reception - Mis-represented his capabilities - Very unprofessional…read moreand inexperienced, Numerous Technical Difficulties. In our initial email to the DJ we were asking if the DJ had any experience in entertaining an event/crowd that will not have any dancing. The DJ responded that he had experience entertaining a crowd with no music. However, on the day of our event he looked lost and unprepared. There was no personality behind his MCing, which made everything very boring. No one could understand what he was saying; so, my guest started to lose interest. We felt embarrassed. Furthermore, when I gave him the check he admitted to me that my reception was the first time he performed where there was no dancing. Months before the wedding we provided our DJ with a copy of the program of the reception and list of songs we would like played and additional items, which was all requested by the DJ. However, it was obvious that he did not look at anything we provided him until we sat with him a week before the wedding and at the actual reception. He did not have any of the documents we provided to him especially after we emailed him an updated copy the same day we met with him. He DID NOT play the song we wanted for the bride and grooms grand entrance. He did not play any of the music we requested. He did not follow the program we asked for. For example, we listed names of people we would like to speak at our wedding. Instead, he walked around asking if anyone wanted to speak, which lead to alot of dead time and discomfort. We had to direct him during the reception and cue him on everything because he didn't know what he was doing. At a wedding the bride and groom should have nothing to worry about. There was no smooth transition between activities (a lot of dead time) and not enough attention brought to activities, such as the bouquet toss or cutting of the cake. Our cake went to waste and was never passed out to our guest because it was not properly announced to our guests. He placed his projector in a awkward position that no one could see. The slide show we wanted played was not opened at maximum and you could still see the play and pause buttons. We wanted to play a video during the reception, but his computer was so slow that the video lagged. There was even a time when we passed by his laptop and it looked like he was surfing the internet. I felt so embarrassed that I had to end the reception an hour early. I asked him to play music while people were saying their good byes, he started to play dance music at a very high volume. I asked him multiple times to lower down the volume, but he never did. We felt embarassed on this special day. We felt like we had to apologize to all our guests. It is hard to talk about the good things and not be reminded of how this DJ ruined everything. We would of been better of with an ipod and a friend reading the program.
