The Massage therapist was kind & respectful but was recovering from wrist and hand surgery and wasn't able to apply deep pressure at all, which I especially needed and wanted, and was the goal for having the massage not just light surface oil rubbing on my entire body. The receptionist should have told me or not have told me before hand. I would have rescheduled for the purposes of needing a deep tissue massage with someone else. I needed my hands and feet rubbed not a lot of time spent on those areas less than few minutes on each. My hips were not rubbed just kinda lightly pushed on. Although massage therapist was professional. The secretary that friendly. After the massage the at the front desk didn't want to really be bothered and seemed busy at the desk and not wanting to explain other services I asked for a menu. I have had many massages and this was a let down.

Physical therapy told my husband and I that I would never walk again and stated that I really neededto be trained to live in a wheelchair. To make a long story Short, I am now an outpatient physical therapy. Though I spend time in a wheelchair, I am learning to walk and will be able to do so with a walker independently. Additionally, the medical Director came to my husband and I and told us that I was dying, and should be placed on hospice. that was two years ago. All of my doctors are completely confused as to why he would've came to that conclusion. When we refused hospice, and refused to accept that I could not be taught more independent living, they discharged me. The facility itself is beautiful. It is clean and well-managed. However, they did not provide what I needed from them. Have they done so, I believe that I would be further along than I am now. Again, the good news is that I am progressing dramatically at this point.

After my 90+-year-old mother was hospitalized months ago, the hospital recommended that she not…read moreimmediately return to her assisted living facility, but instead, they said that she should go to a rehabilitation facility. It was arranged for her to go to Lorien Mays Chapel. I am writing to tell you that Lorien Mays Chapel was very disappointing and that my mother dramatically deteriorated there. Although they say the right things and have a lot of staff with all sorts of titles, they are really not set up to manage elderly women with dementia. They put her on a vigorous regimen of PT and OT which wore her out and there appeared to be a complete disconnect between their administrative staff like the dietician and their floor staff. In fact, the latter were more concerned about their break times and getting food from the small luncheonette there than with my mother. Lorien Mays Chapel has a good reputation and I think that for relatively healthy young to middle aged men or women who just need a little PT or OT, it is probably fine. However, for older individuals who need more care and attention, in addition to PT and OT, Lorien is not the place to send them. Seeing my mother deteriorate so quickly at Lorien, we managed to get her out of there relatively quickly - weak, very disoriented, and on oxygen 24/7. After returning back to her assisted living facility where they are better setup for her issues, she is much stronger and active again.

I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt and presuming she was under pressure to see a lot of patients as quickly as possible and this explains the careless treatment I consistently received. She was usually very unclear in explaining things and in too much of a hurry to answer questions, which she would sometimes refer to her assistant, who was also clueless. The whole office was horribly run. No one live ever answered the phone. You had to leave a voicemail. Calls were usually not returned the same day. It could take days to set up an appointment. After a visit, I often got a followup survey about my experience emailed to me. But when I filled it out and tried to email it back, I would get an error message about a server problem. Every single time!!! Nothing about this particular office works! Truly an awful experience! So glad to be done with them. Used to be so much better.

Therapy was painful at the beginning, but Savleen was always encouraging and so kind and patient. She was comforting through my pain and talked me through some difficult moments. She gave me exercises to do at home on the days I didn't attend PT. Two weeks out from surgery and I have just about regained full mobility and am so grateful for the entire staff. Appointments were easy to make and the girls who work at the front desk were helpful in figuring out an insurance issue and making my frequent appointments. I was able to come to therapy after work, so scheduling was convenient. I can definitely recommend Towson PT.

Dr. Jill at Arnold Physical Therapy has been such a godsend in my life. I was struggling with…read morepelvic floor pain and dismissed by the mainstream medical community. Dr. Jill was there to listen and work through the pain I was having. She created a healing and safe environment to investigate what was causing my pain. Dr. Jill, determined to see healing, used visceral therapy, which cured the pain that I was experiencing. I am so thankful for Jill and her knowledge of the body and the heart to heal her patients.
