Yes, a year and a half later as that was the earliest appointment available for a new patient. I actually showed up on 7/16/25 because I thought that was when it scheduled and they sent me home because I was a year early. When I went for my actual appointment on 7/16/26, I was told that my appointment had been cancelled in December, 2025 because the dr was overbooked and they needed to spread out his appointments. I was never notified. The secretary mgr at the desk then scheduled me for an appointment on August13. She could not enter it in the system because their computers were not working but assured me that it would be entered. She wrote it on a a piece of paper and signed it so I would have it in writing. I went for my appointment today and, you guessed it, no appointment. The dr was there there but I could not see him. The secretary said if I had brought the signed paper with me she would have been able to help me, so the dr had time, I just couldn't be seen. I stupidly believed that I didn't need it, that the girl kept her word and entered the appointment. I wanted to have all my drs through Guthrie as I have been happy with the ones I have so far, but the incompetence of the Dermatology dept has definitely soured my opinion. As this is a two hour round trip, I now know I need to go through a different hospital system.

When I have an issue, she always gets me back to normal. I see her for general maintenance as well. Donna takes the time to listen, ask questions and determine what the best course of treatment is. I have been going to the Guthrie Clinic for some years and while I am happy with my provider, it is unfortunate that she works for guthrie and not a more trustworthy organisation - if there are any in this country any more. Guthrie Hospital Corning is a get em in and push em out establishment and their surgical unit mantains a "we'll give it a go and if we can't do it we'll send you some where else" attitude - the exact treatment my wife got from a gynocologist there (Peter Harwood). All they wanted was the first shot at her surgery for the money they charged her health insurance. They then kicked her out the "back door" (literally) before she had even come out of the anesthetic and then refused to address after surgery complications by telling her it wasn't his/their problem! There are other issues as well but too many to list. The bottom line is this, if you have a choice between Guthrie and some where else (anywhere else) take the some where else. Due to their profits before patients policy - you can't even be sure if what they tell you is correct or just a story line to get you going back again and again and again. As I said above, I am happy with MY provider, she is great just wished she worked some where else.
