Fortunately, I had printed out some of the info he said was wrong with me, which I still have--but no other specialist will ever see that info bec he surreptitiously removed it from my record. I considered asked another dr in that dept to follow up on my care in his stead, until I found out HE WAS THE DEPT HEAD-- so there was no point in asking. I CANNOT RECOMMEND the heart dept at Guthrie (or any of its subsidiaries, as they have to report to him.)

Disrespectful of patient's time…read more This is the second time that I've left this office without seeing a doctor after being left in an exam room for over an hour. My appointment was scheduled at 8:30 on a Monday morning specifically so there would be less chance that the doctor was behind and so I could make it to work at a reasonable time. They request that you arrive early so that you can complete paper work. I checked in online and arrived early as requested. After a short wait I was taken to an exam room where I had blood pressure taken and then another assistant asked about symptoms. I then waited until 9:30 (an hour after my 8:30 appointment time) before asking if there was any idea of when I'd see a doctor as I needed to leave for work. I was told someone should be in soon and she'd tell her (Dr. Blake) to see me next. I waited until 9:45 but had to leave for work. I find it unacceptable to make patients wait for 1:15 minutes to see a doctor. We have jobs and our time is precious. Serious improvements are needed to the scheduling process. I will not be using Ithaca Orthopedic Group again.
