It's super kid friendly - one half of the area is full of children's books, small tables, and even toys for little guys to play with. I came when they were all still in school, so it was very quiet, but I'm guessing it can get pretty noisy when they come. The other half of the library is more geared toward teens and adults, complete with copies of the current newspaper, a game checkout area, and a few outlets for electronic devices. This library is very well organized and easy to navigate. The signs on the bookshelves and surrounding areas are clear, and the staff is happy to help. They're so nice and patient! They're really good to keep the area clean too. I can definitely see myself coming back!

While you can still get books and use the computer, you can also find so much more at this location. There is oversized yard games, board games, a sewing machine, even a laminator... all available with your library card. And that's barely the beginning! They also have a large selection of board games, dvds and a few video games. You can also request items from other libraries on their computer catalog. They have a kids coloring table that is out everyday as well as a kitchen play set, blocks and some toy animals. You can also partake in a variety of programs. They have baby book time, toddler story times, craft times for all ages, 1,000 books before kindergarten, summer lunch program, numerous family fun nights... and SO much more! They even just had a magic show! Over the summer they have their "summer reading program." It's one of my daughters favorite thing! Kids can earn prizes and raffle tickets for a chance to win even bigger prizes, just by reading books. And the programs are not just for kids! They have something for everyone. They do adult take and make crafts kits, "meet the author" nights, sometimes even bingo. If your in the area, stop by the Baldwin library! Your sure to have a good time.

Both stories of the facility offer beautiful accommodations and offer a lot of space for whatever your event may be. It has a kitchen, picnic style tables (downstairs), restrooms and a fairly large parking lot. The space is accessible and easy to get to and find. It doesn't have air conditioning, so keep that in mind for the summer months (but it is heated). Overall, a wonderful place to host a larger event.

It contains a kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, sink, and electrical outlets; women's and men's bathrooms; and several tables with chairs. Outside is a parking lot and some picnic tables. Across the street is part of the lake. Beware that geese put many droppings on the grass. The building is not air-conditioned, but it has heating and many windows that can be opened. The rental fee is higher for non-residents than for residents and costs roughly a few hundred dollars per day. My church rented Rose Barn for a picnic. I saw that the building had a broken bathroom lock and some missing wall tiles. However, the building was in mostly good condition, and it was affordable and suited our needs.

Original review: Looking for a birthday party venue for our kiddo, I came across Assemble. It looked great! -- they advertise birthday parties on their website, and include pricing and other info about activities and number of kids they can accommodate. Great, it's all looking good. I fill out their online form with the required info, including three potential dates for the party that all comply with the date restrictions they have posted in their website, and submit it. I get a response the next day -- again, great!! Yes, they can do the first requested date. Yes, they can do activities for the age group. Leah, the "Camp Coordinator" (according to her email signature block) asks if we are still interested/want to confirm the party date. I say, yes, we definitely want to book. Cut to today when Leah emails to say, ooops! When we confirmed the party, we were just kidding!!!!! No party. Instead, Assemble decided to do camp on that date, so they can charge more money. They hope I can understand their decision to unilaterally cancel my kiddo's birthday party reservation, which they previously confirmed, because it's easier for them to cancel my kid's party than to keep their word. No. No, I don't understand. It's unprofessional. Best case scenario, they're so disorganized that their Camp Coordinator booked my kid's birthday party without realizing that they already had camp scheduled for that date. But, no, that's not what she said happened. She *admitted* that she found out (after booking the party) that Assemble subsequently decided it would do a camp on the party date. Rather than honor the party reservation that was already confirmed, they just cancelled my kiddo's party. I could never recommend them to anyone, because you can't trust them. They'll take their word back when it suits them.

All of the experiences have been wonderful. The library portion is fantastic. A large kids section with friendly and helpful librarians, a great area (with a fireplace!) to relax, computers and an overall great selection of books. The music hall portion is wonderful as well. Seats are pretty comfortable with a decent amount of room and you can see well from basically anywhere in there. The backstage area has two large dressing rooms with lighted mirrors. The only downside is that there is fairly limited parking, so if you are attending an event, you need to get there early enough to grab a spot or hope for nearby street parking.
