On Tuesday September 1, 2026, 3:30 AM , the ceiling in my rental property unexpectedly collapsed…read moreonto my tenant. There had been no prior warning that the ceiling was failing, no water stains and no reported water leak immediately before the collapse property inspected and passed by Hendry county for HUD housing . After the incident, I observed/felt dampness in the inside collapsed drywall, sticking insulation stuck on rafters raising concerns that water intrusion from the roof may have contributed to the failure. The roof had been installed approximately two years earlier(permit closed February 2024) by a Clyde Johnson Contracting & Roofing, Inc., and I still have the original roofing contract and invoices. The incident caused EXTENISVE property damage and injury that resulted in the tenant being hospitalized for her neck and back pain. I promptly reported the matter to my insurance company and opened a claim which they denied, but they're adjuster did say the roof failure was caused by improper installation by CLYDE JOHSON. my third party adjuster found over sized elongated screws(that split the wood instead actually fastening it ), bent hurricane clips in-between ply wood ,rotten ply wood that was missed & the flashing wasn't bent the right way (flashing wasn't vertically under diagonal end caps ,letting water in at the seams of the waterproofing). I assumed that Clyde Johnson was taking responsibility not only because the roof was only 2 years old (15 year limited workman warranty & 25 year manufacture warranty), but on the day of the incident (Tuesday September 1,2026) . Ramon Iglesias (Hendry county NEW commissioner & also works at Clyde Johnson roofing) put my tenant in a hotel room for 3 days (obvious admission of guilt). The following week Thursday, Ramon Iglesias texts my phone and says CLYDE JOHNSON, can not take anymore further action until the insurance companies complete their investigation. Funny , because CLYDE JOHNSON sends a employee the next day (September 2, 2026 )with out my or my tenant's knowledge or consent & THE CLYDE JOHNSON EMPLOYEE takes out a ladder & jumps back on the roof , removes a end cap & I'm assuming starts to bend the flashing the correct way. Which my insurance company adjuster documented and my tenant caught the CLYDE JOHNSON employee on ring door bell camera leaving with a drill in hand. This was before the any of the insurance companies adjusters assessed any damages. COMPLETELY ILLEGAL ! Then RAMON IGLESIAS goes on to say further more based on his company & his investigation(he's not even qualified or an engineer ), we found no evidence that the roof caused water intrusion. TYPICAL SCAMMERS. Not only is the county commissioner (Ramon Iglesias ) not undertaking any accountability , but CLYDE JOHNSON WHOLE STAFF STOPPED RETURNING MY CALLS & EMAILS . I've requested my full warranty documents which were never emailed to me with my roofing contract (even though my roofing contract says i have 15 year & 25 year warranty). my house is still in pieces & the roof hasn't been repaired. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! A 2 YEAR OLD METAL ROOF IS NOT SUPPOSED TO FAIL AT ALL !!! THE CONTRACTOR THAT INSTALLED IT SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE ! CLYDE JOHSNSON CONTRACTING & ROOFING IS A SCAM OF A COMPANY but , that's not even THE WORSE PART, this can still happen at any other portion of the HOUSE ! completely not fair , i hired a license contractor to do a job correctly and CLYDEJOHSON SIMIPLY REFUSED TO DO ANYHING CORRECTLY OR PROFESSIONAL. DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR Pictures the day of incident SEPTEMBER 1, 2026 below. also here the video of Clyde Johnson employee ILLEAGLLY coming back the next (sep2,2026) to try to cover up their original mistake, and the removed end cap with the repainted screws that CLYDE JOHNSON WAS ILLEAGLY trying to cover up. HORRIBLE COMPANY do not hire these people their office staff plays phone games as well once you as a paying customer requests your full warranty information!! RAMON IGLESIAS IS A SCAMMER RUNNING THIS SCAM COMPANY!!!

They literally trashed our place and besides that, broke multiple items due to their carelessness. Would NOT recommend.
