I was the only customer in there at that time. I walked right past them & they never even acknowledged I was there. Until I had to ask one of them for a price on an item on the wall. She had to radio another employee & give the UPC code for a price. I also went out in to the garden area & saw some hanging lantana baskets that did not have a price on them either. I do not like to shop somewhere where the prices are not on the merchandise. I know they have been bought out & it is not like it use to be, where the employees were so friendly & helpful & would acknowledge their customers. Then, I get to the checkout & the guy asked if I had an account. Gave him 2 different phone #'s & nothing! I should have been in their system. It's very discouraging to say the least. They have some nice things but, a bit pricey on some. It may be awhile before I patronize their business again.

I couldn't have been farther off base in my assumption. The only similarity is the helpful staff working in the store, which gained this place an extra star. They greet patrons as they enter and offer to help them find things. Initially, I said I was going to browse around a little and pick up the things I needed. I ended up going back asking for help finding items I was looking for. The clerk working helped me look for the items I needed and then told me they are not actually an Ace Hardware Store anymore. They're an authorized Ace retailer, so they now sell some Ace products, but don't carry all normal items. She wasn't kidding! They don't carry most Ace products. No paint, no stain, etc. This place is mostly a feed store, I guess. I ended up going to Home Depot to get what I needed, they had it. I simply prefer to support the small businesses in a community. In this case, I bought two items at each place. I will try visiting another Ace hardware that's across town that the clerk recommended. I'm pretty sure I won't be back to this store.

They do this without making the situation feel as though you are a burden like most local construction places do. The prices are a little higher for parts found at Lowes/HD but cheaper than others local building suppliers. They have the ability to provide more specialized products though. Well, it didn't match, and when I came back - and stood around waiting for at least 15 minutes - was met with an eat-shit attitude and "well I can't be giving away cans of paint." That's an understandable position, but if that's the stores position on returns, then what you *shouldn't* do is send customers out of the door with a "come back and we'll make it right." I've always had a good experience here with the staff. Hell I've known them on a first name basis for years now. Won't be giving them my business anymore.

Well , today some new person was there who acted like a manager and when asked about this return she said very rudely " take them out of the store right now " I am like okay . I asked her I needed to buy Weber grill cover too and if she can help? She pointed finger at the corner and said first you need to take those propane tank out right now . I am like wow ! No one has ever talked to me this way . I was really hurt . I walked out and put my empty cans back in the car and came back and took Weber grilled cover. I HAD HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE TODAY WITH THIS ONE PERSON . SHE WAS JUST RUDE FOR NO REASON WHEN I SPOKE TO HER VERY POLITELY.
