My family drive up here from Chicago for vacation and were told by a family friend that when we get here, go try Pita Place. We were not disappointed. This is the best gyro I've ever had. It's a Homemade Pita; the sauce is flavorful and doesn't have cucumber unless you request it; and the meat is flavorful and juicy. All around winner. read more

I used to love the food and service in the restaurant. I thought the dine in was till 4:00 but at 3:25 the doors were locked I drove around to the drive thru and pulled around to the back parking lot. The young man at the window was not friendly at all. I had the gyro and it was ok but the service was awful and I truly felt like I was an annoyance to the staff. No stars!

My family loves this place. My children love to get the Wisconsin cheese soup and dip their warm pita bread in it. It ends up for a cheap meal when you have so many children. I really like the lamb pitas and so does my wife. I wish they would make their own hummus in house though. It is so cheap and easy and the stuff they use isn't great. It would also be nice to see drinks that are more from the region. These things are just personal preferences. read more

Good gyros and fries! The friend I go here with likes the salad with chicken and sliced strawberries and always orders it. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is they close the dining room at 3:00! I teach at MCC and don't get done teaching until 2:15, so don't have a lot of time here. Their drive-thru is open later though (until 4:00, I think). read more

Fries were good. Excellent service. Gyros leave much to be desired. Mostly beef if any lamb at all. Pita bread is too thick and large. Very salty with a barely noticeable amount of sauce and onions and I could not find the feta cheese. I finally made a visit to The Pita Place today for lunch. The inside dining was open with plenty of others dining too! We were greeted by a super nice server who promptly delivered our waters and took our order. We had our lunch in no time. The gyro was delicious as was our side salad. The drive up was very busy too. The reason for the three stars was the dining area was used as a storage area for their supplies and tables were stacked on top of each other. Certainly not a appropriate look for a dining area! I really like this place for what it is - good value for your money. The food comes out really fast and the service is usually attentive and friendly. I've always admired the fact that they just remember your order without writing it down. I will say to those that are coming here for an authentic Greek/Mediterranean experience, you should probably keep looking, but if you like meat, feta, and sauce wrapped up in a pita for a decent price, than you should come here. I am taking away one star though based on the TV they have playing there, that is always tuned in to Fox News. I have normally had a good experience here. However, last Friday night (2/19/21) I drove a 40 minute round trip there to specifically pick up soup for my sick girlfriend. When I got home, I discovered that they gave us the wrong soup. Called them, and their fix was to give a credit on a soup during the next visit. Just seems like they could have offered something more. Seeing how I drove there and back in a snow storm to try a support their restaurant. I'm sure I will go back, but I am disappointed. read more

The Pita Place is everything. It's relatively inexpensive but literally the best thing. I have to force myself not to go all the time to make it more of a treat for myself. The cheese they use is seriously amazing for some reason and just goes great with the pita. To be honest, the lettuce hasn't been the best quality lately, maybe they changed something, but it's still my everything. The crispy chicken pita is 10/10 my lifeblood. I've visited many eateries from the west coast to the east coast. They have the best food! I always get the lamb gyro and it has a little spice, but the seasoning is top notch. I have eaten here multiple time over the course of 6 years and my family and I have never had an issue. The food comes out quickly and the staff is always very friendly and attentive. Service is always great but the food is hit or miss. Sometimes it's cold and sometimes it's fresh. Seems like it depends on the time of day. I will say that when the food is fresh, it is really good. Edit: I had to drop from three stars to one as I can no longer eat here. Went for dinner last night and the pita bread was hard and burnt and the meat was cold. Not 100% sure on how authentic, but it is very good. The meat is moist and soft, pita is nice and fluffy, sauce is excellent and to the staff are good to you. If gyros and french fries are your thing, this is the place. If your not into the fries, you can substitute for pita chips(do it) and then order some hummus, awesome combo. Also suggest the falafels, they are so yummy. If sitting down takes to long, hit up the drive through. read more
