I had a poor experience here involving a Form 4 submission for a suppressor. The store failed to properly submit my digital fingerprints, which caused the ATF to return the application after about six weeks. They also didn't notify me; I had to call them myself after it had been rejected. Ultimately, I chose to transfer the suppressor to a more competent FFL. Upon requesting this Form 3 transfer, I had to explain to them what a Form 3 was. Then, even though submitting fingerprints was their responsibility, they insisted I pay a transfer fee and shipping. I asked that the fee be waived due to their error, and was accused of lying and told the failed submission was entirely my fault. After some discussion, I managed to get the fee reduced, but I would not recommend using this business if you value customer service. Generally, it's bad form to accuse your customer of lying in a last-ditch CYA effort. read more

Visiting MO with my g'daughter, just pre-Christmas, we were looking forward to some hiking, some Christmas festivals, just a relaxing time. It was wonderful, but oh, so very cold!! When I had run low on ideas to keep my dear one occupied, I kept thinking... what could we do indoors (not mall-ish)... Target shooting!! A long time lover of nice pistols and good target practice, I asked my girl, just shy of 14 years old then, "hey, wanna learn to shoot a gun?" She was completely in! This business did not appear to be expecting random TX tourists to show up, wanting to use the range! However, they were pretty friendly, if also clearly nonplussed, and we got set up. The range master was very knowledgeable and patient, letting my granddaughter get comfortable, and making sure all safety practices were understood and observed. Except for the first woman we dealt with, all other employees were without complaint from us! It was a super fun way to stay in from the (unbelievable) cold, and that was worth it all. read more

Poor service and hateful owners. Been to this store several times and has been consistantly a poor experience. The "museum" they offer is small and not very interesting. Not to mention they are constantly eyeing you everywhere you go, making you feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed there. If youre interested in a certain firearm, they talk as if they are just trying to get you out of the store as soon as possible so youll stop being such an inconvience to them. Not to mention their lack of actual firearms knowledge. Its disappointing. Their indoor range is the only thing thats actually decent outside of their horrendous pricing and rules to use it. Despite the fact its pistols only. Nothing above a 44 Magnum in size. Which neuters any ability to enjoy your time there. Overall its got a few charms as a place to check out once and then never go back to. If youre interested in buying a gun there, just go somewhere else unless you like feeling like youre just some moron when you try to pick up something. There are much better gun stores that actually appreciate your company and are more welcoming in Camdenton and Lebanon. But this place sure aint it. read more

I walked in to Pistols Plus to get some ammunition for a rifle and found they have archery targets, compound bows, arrows and more. I was welcomed by JT and he taught me a lot about bow fishing! It was nice to get information without being pressured into buying. If you have any gun/bow needs I highly recommend this place. The building layout itself is just awesome! read more

From Arizona visiting family in the area and thought I would check them out. Emailed 2days prior to ask if they had a particular item ( Colt Defender) NO reply, nothing. Went into store. Only person in there (it's off season now). Selection was ok. My issue was the woman and gentleman behind the counter never once said hello, can we help....nothing. Spent their time badmouthing another employees ordering skills. Business must be good to have no customer skills. I looked around and left with no purchase of anything. Ive never done a review before but my experience here definitely deserves one. I've been in pistols plus several times and have never been able to make a purchase. They are over priced on everything. This most recent trip sealed the deal for me and I will never try to do business with them again. I had heard they had some bows on sale so i went to make them an offer. After the offer was made I was basically yelled at. I understand not accepting an offer but when a manager or owner or whatever this lady was comes out of the office and yells at you because they don't agree with it is completely unacceptable. Poor business. I would not recommend this business to anyone. They will not deal and obviously don't know how to treat customers. By far the worst place I have ever tried to do business. read more

While i was on vacation, I decided to go shopping. This was my first visit to the store and I had done some research online regarding their location. I was very happy to see their museum that they have with all the different varieties of weapons. I was very impressed. Unfortunately I was not happy with the prices that they had marked on there handguns. I compared prices to the store that I frequent in Illinois and the prices here were considerably higher. I don't know if that is from quantity volume pricing or higher overhead. Also the guy that was working the handgun area seemed more more annoyed by customers then wanting to help customers and make sales. read more

First time going to this gun range. I have a great experience with the staff. They have a variety of handguns to rent and use. You may also bring your own handgun. As long as you follow their rules you will have a great time there. I highly recommend this place to anyone who has an interest in guns. Their is also a mini museum upstairs worth checking out. P+ offers a good selection of modern firearms and an indoor pistol range. Those are its good points. I made the mistake of consigning a collector-grade pistol there at the going price and they displayed it at a price well above that. During the next several months, I repeatedly urged them to lower the price to a sensible level, which they agreed to do but didn't. After my patience had become exhausted, I went to retrieve my gun and was offered a low-ball figure. Let me start by saying this is not my first trip to this store. The customer service here is terrible. I went in with every intention of buying a gun, however the three employees behind the counter could not be bothered to greet my father or me. When an employee finally came over and asked us if we needed help, he didn't answer any of our questions and then went back behind the counter. Needless to say, we left and took our business an hour and a half away to Sound of Freedom USA in Ozark, MO. Those guys there are awesome and they actually answered our questions. If you enjoy a business that takes no pride in customer service or having employees that are lacking the knowledge to answer your questions, then Pistols Plus is the place for you. read more
