I cannot give enough compliments to the staff. The 2 sweetest young ladies were working. They helped up build our own scents. We scented almond oil, shower gel and body lotions. Two stars because they have some great loungewear and I needed some shampoo. I went back against my better judgement...first time I was followed around the store and I thought it was because it was close to closing time. I really liked a PJ set I saw so I went back the next day. Same thing...it's really uncomfortable being followed around, especially in such a small store. Only one nice young girl working there. I bought the wrong size camisole and didn't realize it until I returned to Missouri. Since my daughter was going to Rosemary beach in two weeks; I sent it with her to exchange with tags on and receipt. They wouldn't exchange it because it was outside the two week window. I understand you have to have policies to protect your business but this is ridiculous. Even after I explained what happened to the manager; they still refused. I would not recommend this place. They don't care about their customers. What does it hurt to exchange item for a different size? read more

My mom and I came into the store today and had the worst experience with one of the employees. I had removed the outer sleeve of a bath bomb set to see the contents before purchasing. There was no permanent damage. The employee sighed and rolled her eyes while asking if I needed help. She was busy ringing us up and I just needed to put the sleeve back on (not difficult) so I said, "it's okay. I've got it." I then reset it to its original condition. While she was ringing us up, we asked about a military discount just as the card was run. We sincerely apologized for not asking a second sooner. She said, "we'll get it next time." Her fellow employee asked if they wanted us to rerun it. When we asked how much it was, it was 10% of the $600 purchase so we asked if they could. The original employee grunted, rolled her eyes, and shook her head. We asked if there was an issue as we were getting agitated by her poor attitude. She replied it was "a lot of work to re-do it." It was literally 3 items. We ultimately told her we'd take our business elsewhere. Such a shame because it's a great store with lovely, high-end products. I've never seen someone in the retail/customer service industry be so rude, especially when it wasn't triggered by anything we did (in my opinion). I'm a (current) local and stumbled across Pish Posh Patchouli's yesterday (15 Mar 2017). At first, I didn't think that I'd like it very much (Bath and Body Works makes me gag when I go in there - heavy mixture of scents) - however, Patchouli's didn't smell anything like that. They have a wonderful array of homemade soaps, specially scented lotions, and body sprays - all made to YOUR specifications. They also sell hard-to-find haircare products (Bumble & Bumble?? I had to order from NYC the last time I bought their salt spray!!) - and other beauty products that are difficult to find outside of most major cities. Pros: - Personalized service (I had a wonderful body spray made just for me!). - Selection of everything from soaps, lotions. make-up to pajamas, jewelry, and hair items. - All the sales personnel seemed helpful and eager to assist. No pressure, not pushy. - Well stocked store. Cons: - I left earlier than I would have because of the amount of unattended children in the store. - Customers who had finished shopping (and paid for their items) lingered right by the front door. It's March. The Rosemary Beach area is beautiful. They needed to move out of the way when the apothecary is full. - Spring break madness. That one is my fault. I'll have to plan my trips better - or maybe just order online. Quite frankly, I don't really like parents who let their children run like feral animals, which is why I couldn't give Pish Posh Patchouli an additional star. I know the staff was swamped at that time - and it's not their job to babysit other people's children. I'll wait until school kicks in again and head back there to go shopping. :D read more

I'm a big fan Patchouli's. I went to the store 4 years ago while on vacation in Florida. I bought some of their custom scented aloe vera lotion and fell in love! I love sending custom scented products as gifts. I call the store to give them my order and they will ship it directly to the recipient. I'll have them include a personal note. They always put lots of tissue, ribbon, flower petals, etc to make it look really nice. A friend that I sent a gift to even told me that before she saw the gift she just loved it by how cute it was done up! Besides their custom scenting they sell plenty of great lines of candles, make-up, lotions, etc. Many fun items for yourself or a gift! read more

Great selection of merchandise! However, the manager (assuming) was the most unhelpful, rude and arrogant person. I was looking for a black chemise and found one in the wrong size. She was in the back on the phone. I waited for the phone call to end and politely asked if she had a smaller size. She told me they were short staffed and to ask the girl at the counter. She made a hug HUFF and went into the back to find me the size I needed. She handed me a packaged chemise, did not offer to unwrap it or to steam out the wrinkles. Basically threw it at me. I opened it and tried it on. It fit perfect and I bought but-only because I had been looking for one for a long time. My friends were sitting on chairs outside of the store where I could show them. I opened the door to show them the dress. The store was heavily scented and one of my friends could not handle the smell. The manager gave them a very dirty look and slammed the door shut! Such a shame, its a beautiful store and products soured by the horrible attitude and customer service of one person! read more

I have purchased a LOT of stuff from this store. Just spent a LOT of money there again, and the blonde lady with glasses who was "helping" us did not act very kindly whatsoever. A smile goes a long way! Try it lady. Never going back :( read more

One of THE most interesting stores for beauty for the body and home! Most of their products are more on the unique side. You won't see them in every other store. They are always getting in new items, so the store is ever changing . They gift wrap,too, so I'm always ordering gifts to be mailed. Don't we all love that!
