Is there any reason to go for a swim at Piscine R&A Mourlon and not at Piscine Keller then - you may ask yourself.
And yes, there is a reason to give Piscine R&A Mourlon a chance and that is one of the negative points of Piscine Keller - it´s not as overrun. The day where I went to Piscine René et André Mourlon, I walked past Piscine Keller and the little sign at the entrance showed me that there were 160 People in there. At Mourlon, there were about 20 People in there with me and at one time swimming, I even had a whole lane to myself. Now that was a first for me since moving to Paris with it´s chronically overrun public-pools.
Building-wise Keller and Mourlon are somewhat in the same league. While Keller is more modern, Mourlon is less broken and moldy. The Basin was spotless, only some ceiling-tiles were missing, a bit of rust here and there on stuff like the floodlights, but nothing major. On the sunny day when I was there, the pool hall was filled with natural light despite there only being some smaller windows on top.
It was clean when I was there - but with so few swimmers, that´s hardly surprising. Changing cabins are decent in size, the personell was friendly. Everything seemed to work.
Other Negatives? It´s not handicapped accessible, I didn't see a lot of Staff.
Verdict: If Keller is overrun, give Piscine René et André Mourlon a chance.
