I can't say enough how much I enjoyed my experience working with Samantha. I had some crazy odd…read morescenarios going on in my life during my pregnancy and she was extremely supportive throughout all of it. She would check in on me to see how I was doing and would give some suggestions when needed. In the end Samantha helped my husband and I create a birth plan which I'm looking forward to using in the next couple weeks as my little one arrives. When we sat down to put it together she was great with making sure myself and my husband understood each section so we could make the most informed decision possible. What I loved most about her final birth plan that she pieced together for us was that it was a visual layout that will be much easier for doctors to read rather than just a piece of paper with a bunch of sentences on it.

I will be recommending Samantha to every pregnant mama in the area that is considering a doula!…read more I chose to have a midwife attended hospital birth with the goal of the least amount of interventions as possible, and I am happy to say, my baby was delivered as I had hoped and wished--vaginally and pain-med free! Samantha's pre-birth support is extraordinary. She takes the time to learn your preferences and helps to surface decisions you may not have anticipated on your own. She doesn't push in any direction - just helps to inform of the choices you have. Before the birth, Samantha provided tons of information & ideas for everything. She was well organized and, even though it was my 3rd child, reminded me of questions & things I hadn't even thought of! During the birth, she was invaluable but never intrusive. My husband was still by my side and providing the "direct" support, but Samantha was also right there cueing up different techniques all the way through. I trusted her completely to help me advocate for my preferences during labor and delivery without sacrificing safety. I appreciated that she reminded me to switch positions during labor, (very helpful), and read my affirmations to/with me when I felt like giving up and needed it most. She helped me breathe through my contractions when they got super strong and hard , and assisted with hip squeezes too -which helped me concentrate enough to get through them ! After the birth, Samantha waited & made sure we were settled in to our postpartum room before leaving us that day. In the following days, she gave us space but made sure we knew she was there for us. She texted and checked in with our family & was always available for any questions!! Samantha was respectful and is such a nice & down to earth person. Even though I didn't know her well when we hired her, I felt so comfortable having her by my side that day. She is just wonderful and I look back on my labor & delivery day with a smile and happy heart. We definitely made the right choice in hiring her and I can't recommend her enough!!! Thank you again, Samantha!
