I am totally thrilled with the job the Pioneer Landscapes team did replacing the aging foundation planting around my house. I met Lex Pariseault at the Home Show and discussed the work I wanted done. We set up an appointment at that time for her to come out, view the job and give me an estimate. Lex kept me informed from start to finish and made sure I was completely satisfied with the plans she was proposing, the plant material they intended to use and the finished product. Lex listened to my wants and needs and matched the plants chosen to my level of gardening prowess - non-existent. The finished product was even better than the plans I approved. I am delighted. The Pioneer Landscape team gave my house curb appeal which previously had been sorely lacking. I feel the price they charged was reasonable considering the scope of the job. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. Every individual who worked on my project was pleasant and professional. The landscapers made sure I was completely satisfied with their work before leaving. I received a follow-up email from Lex checking to make sure I was satisfied. read more

Pioneer Landscapes did an excellent job with our project! Everything from the brush clearing to the stump removal to the new line of arborvitae and hydro seeding, was top notch. The company, including the owner, visited the site several times before the project to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. The communication with the crew on site was excellent and they checked in at each phase of the project to make sure we were happy. There's a reason this company has been in business for 30 years! Don't hesitate to give them a call if you need landscape work. read more

Not really sure to begin about the satisfaction I had with Pioneer Landscapes. I needed a complete landscaping project done on my home. I knew roughly what I wanted to include and I told Brian Campedelli, the owner, to put his vision to work. The crew arrived and were super professional, and the finished product went above and beyond what I had hoped for. The work they did totally transformed my home's look. I would recommend Pioneer Landscapes for your next project and without question give them 5-Stars! read more

I had stones and weed fabric put down in my garden. Brian (Owner) truly listened to my requests and made sure the workers did the job to my satisfaction. The ending result looks beautiful! The contractors and the owner was professional and reliable. read more

Not a very reliable company. Strung me along for four weeks. Made an appointment for an estimate. Lex needed to cancel. rescheduled for the following weekend. Cancelled again, and promised that the owner would be by at 2:00 pm. waited around until 4:30 pm. Never showed up, and never called to let me know. sent Lex another email, and then never responded. Went with another company. They missed out on a $6,200.00 project and my lawn care business. read more

As others have mentioned, based on the 2.0 rating -- does a very poor job, charges a lot, and gets extremely defensive over any criticism.

Very responsive and dependable. I have worked with Pioneer for over five years and they do a great job with biweekly mowing, spring and fall cleanup. read more

Had Pioneer Landscapes out of Easthampton, Ma trim my shrubs for 375.00, work was sloppy, shrubs were lopsided, arborvitaes tops were lopped off, just a mess. We immediately contacted them and sent pictures. They didn't come back to fix their mess, took 100.00 off my 375.00 bill, we didn't find that acceptable and they didn't care. They said that there's been a lot of changes in their company and they need to look into their management ... well that doesn't help me at al as I am out hundreds of dollars and my Landscaping looks worse than when they started it's a terrible job by what appeared to be teenagers with little to not training. They don't care about their customers, just the almighty dollar. Buyers Beware And whats worse, we had been customers of theres for over 5 years!!!!! read more

I called them in October to get an estimate for An intensive project to begin in the spring. I talked to a pleasant woman who transferred me to some guys voice mail. I left a message and I got no call back. I then sent an email, again no response. I don't think they are very ambitious over there. Another company is about to begin my 30k project any time now. Dig safe has been here so it won't be long. Their loss is someone else's gain. read more

Oh my gosh, this is perhaps the worst run business in New England. Not only do they start jobs and never return after asking you to pay upfront, the quality of their work is totally substandard and costs at least 50% more than all their competitors. They are unreliable, rude, inconsistent, often times incompetent and their owner is a diehard Trump supporter who will curse you out if he thinks you aren't. Never again. Try Ladies Landscaping. read more

Brian and crew did a great job of removing an old garden, carefully preserving a japanese maple, and laying down stone and rock. It's beautiful. They came when they promised, worked in the rain, finished the next day. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I will hire them in the spring to finish some mulching and install outdoor lighting. read more

Do not use this company for any pond needs. I hired them (Brian) last year for several issues with my pond. I paid them almost $1000 and not one thing was fixed. I will focus on one because it shows the level of expertise and commitment. My skimmer had separated at the seam. Brian said he couldn't get the screws out and fixed it as best he could. By the end of the summer is was leaking again. Brian said that there was no way to get the screws out and that I would have to buy and install a new skimmer (thousands of dollars). He was to call me back with an estimate, but never did. I researched what was involved and was able to drill out the screws myself and replace them. It cost around $25. I don't even know much about ponds. As a professional Brian was unable to do what I figured out on my own. Don't use them!!! read more

I had a HORRIBLE experience with this company. They RUINED my lawn. Would not return.

Completely inadequate snow removal quality. Avoid this business. Sometimes didn't shovel at all. When they did the work was never of adequate quality. Completely defensive over lack of shoveling and gave a token discount once over missed shovelling. read more

Pioneer Landscapes did an amazing job top dressing and seeding my lawn. I appreciated the genuine honesty displayed when the quote was presented to me. The work was done in a timely fashion and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this company. read more

This company regularly does not complete the contracted items for summer services, they have to come back half the time to complete the job. They cut down a flower garden last summer twice. They have also plowed our driveway for the last couple years. Today they left a six foot mountain of snow in front of our garage, we can not get the car out. We asked them to finish the job and they said for an additional $85 fee they would remove the snow, citing there is no place to,out it. This is untrue as there is an empty, flat area right beside the drive way. They over charge and do not provide the service to back it up. Go someplace else. read more
