My husband buys their cigarettes and we enjoy the coffee at the Country Style that is in the convenient store. This coffee excels other coffee brands, I would even have to say Tim Horton's, but you will have to be the judge of that and try it for yourself. The area has such a sense of quiet and calm that you do not experience in Bridgenorth or Peterborough and if you ever want to go for a drive just to think and clear your head, I recommend the drive to the Quarter Mile gas station.

After that, a quick pump activation by the store attendant and a fill of 87 octane. My sweetie wanted a lotto quick pick ticket...hoping to be a lucky visitor that purchased a ticket...just rolling through a small town. I used my Petro-Canada rewards card for the fuel and lotto purchase. Store staff asked if I wanted to redeem some of my points but I said I'll keep collecting for a free full tank in the future. There was a chuckle from the friendly and courteous attendant. Back on the road again!

But the nozzle didn't shut off when the gas backed up into the intake like it's supposed to when the tank's full, and probably close to a litre ended up just pouring out onto the ground before I could react myself and stop it. So by the time I was done I had basically just dumped the three cents per litre that I was supposedly saving by going here instead of somewhere else, out onto the ground around my car (not to mention potentially having harmed my gas tank, since it's one of the newer "expandable" type ones and my Owner's Manual says to NEVER overfill it). From now on I'll go back to stopping anywhere ELSE on Highways 400 and 69 on my way north, other than Wolf.

Thank goodness for this Petro-Canada. I pulled in and noticed how confused a female woman was on which side her gas cap was on. Sadly, she pulled in front of me and I couldn't pull through. Luckily, her husband did the filling-up task. I paid at the pump. I had no problem inserting my Petro-Points card, 407 ETR discount card, and my credit card. I filled up my tank and all was good. It wasn't all that busy when I got there. However, it was when I left at around 5 pm. Weird! Gas prices in Peterborough are significantly lower than those in the GTA. I filled up at 105.6 cents a litre. Back in the GTA, it was at 116.9 cents a litre. I lucked out. This gas station is roomy and clean. No complains here. (419)
