But most importantly she is extremely PASSIONATE about her work and working with others. She will do private sessions (and will come to you if desired and enough people), as well as mixed groups. We have done all three. LOVED having her at our home to paint with us and our extended family (especially since we were all drinking!), but you really need an area large enough so that she can teach and everyone can see her and have room to paint. Her studio is great and she is just finishing up an expansion. You can't go wrong with taking a class with Susi and Maria! Two classes were in person and two were virtual, all of them were amazing. She is the best, most encouraging teacher and will help you to make the yummiest pasta possible, even if you're not a great chef! I've been able to take the skills she teaches in class and apply them to my cooking by myself at home, which is invaluable. I can now make lasagna sheets, fettuccine, bowties, garganelli, gnocchi, ravioli, and so much more. My guests are so impressed when I can throw together fresh pasta in just a few minutes. The ravioli she will teach you to make are to die for. I mean it. Truly scrumptious and easily one of the best things I've ever eaten. I could eat a bowl of the filling alone. It is so rewarding to eat delicious food, and in my opinion - it tastes better, knowing that you made it with your own two hands. This was such a fun experience to do for girls' night, with my partner, by myself, and with my sisters! It makes a great gift for those that you love. We made reservations for lunch, not tea, and I believe her name is Romona, said we'd have to pay for the 4th person for tea even if they weren't here. We told her we there for lunch not tea. Just right off the bat, bad taste in my mouth. We then get seated in the back of the store and given a very confusing lunch menu. The way things were worded made it confusing what I was ordering LOL I then ask the server or owner if they had a menu for what tea they offered and their wine list and her response was no we have everything. Uh, okay ... you're a tea house you should probably have a tea menu. I felt like I had to pry for information. I ordered a tea and the honey container had lavender seeds in it which wasn't a problem but it had knats in it. The food was decent but nothing to write home about. The quiche tasted a day old and bland. Needed more flavor. Way overpriced for what it was. They also include 20% gratuity which I don't mind if the service is good which it wasn't. We then sat there for 15 min waiting for them to come back so we could order scones but no one ever checked on us so we decided we wanted to leave. The place wasn't busy at all. I am newer to this area, and wanted to check out the craft/art selection at Michaels. I do a lot of…read moreshopping as I sell hand crafted items as local venues. For the most part, I was pleased with their selection. The 40% off of Christmas items was a nice plus. When I approached the cashier; I asked if I could apply for their credit card as I would have gotten another 40% off. The cashier had not offered that when my items were totaled. The gal said it would not count on that days visit. I was disappointed as my total was over $250. She did not offer anymore details, and seemed put out at my request. I later found out that I COULD have saved 40% and an extra 20%. Needless to say; this led to my 1 star review. I can't say that I will never return there, but it certainly won't be my "go to" place. Think some training in customer service is warranted!!!
