As a woman going alone I felt very comfortable and safe! *He gives you a lot of references to what kind of machine is best for you and same with the gun. He also even gave me a huge catalog from Brick art supplies (he even circled the machines that are the best). * If you bring a friend he gives you a good deal! * The price is ridiculously cheap from other places I scouted out in the bay like 1/8 the cost! Helen was still so welcoming even after we 4 strangers popped in without an appointment. To top it off, we were all new to the process of pottery painting. Helen was so patient and helpful that it made all the difference in the world. And don't get me started on the value....it is so inexpensive! There is no way that she is running this place with any profit. It's clearly a labor of love for her! We had a fantastic experience and were grateful that Helen was so accommodating. If you can't find what you are looking for at Glass Mountain, Tony has many years of experience and knowledge with local vendors, antiques, etc.. and is always willing to help with your quest even if he does not make any $$ from it, that kind of business is hard to find now a days. I encourage you to check out his latest colorful Art Windows or "Dalle De Verre". He hand cuts pieces of colorful slab glass an inch thick to create images and patterns and would be willing to customize anything to suite your needs and/or imagination. It's gorgeous and well-selected and from the same retailer that other studios use but for far more reasonable prices. I was more productive in the first few hours at this studio than I was in a few weeks at another.
