Walked in for a haircut, asked the older gentleman if he knew how to cut curly hair , to which he replied yes. I asked for a fade ( all around the head, high fade ) , in which towards the middle of the haircut I realized he didn't understand what that meant. He just cut using one size ( not fading ) which is fine as long as you can blend the top and make it look nice. But that was not done. At that point after finishing the sides ( just trimming ) the barber concluded the haircut, to which I asked if he can cut the front of my hair so it's not in my eyes ( literally nothing was done except trimming the sides and the barber wanted to conclude it there ) . To which he gave me attitude saying "the customer is always right" and being aggressive with my hair afterwards like he was throwing a tantrum over my request. For $35 + more for tip for a haircut, what I received was subpar, and leaves me asking why I didn't just go to great clips instead. read more

Went to try a new barbershop after reading positive review online, not happy that I went here. Barber Frank chopped my top hair so it sticks straight up and uneven. I asked for a simple fade into taking some length of the top as I put my hair back without product. He took that information and the liberty to chop my hair dry with jagged sideways cuts so now I look like I've been electrocuted when my hair dries. I will not be going here again, and if you're a fan you of your hair, I wouldn't bother going here either. read more

I was just walking by and noticed that the previous Athleticuts had been replaced with this barber shop and decided to give Pinny's Barbershop a try. I was actually very very impressed with the haircut I received from Pinny himself. The dude is super kind and smart as well as very experienced when it comes to cutting hair. He did exactly what I had asked and I've never received more compliments on my fresh cut. Definitely a big upgrade compared to Athleticuts in terms of quality as well as aesthetics of the shop.
