This contractor claims to be a "Green Builder" and even advertises the 'Energy Star' logo on the…read morecompany web site. Unfortunately, that advertised logo is the only 'Energy Star' symbol I saw. The 'Energy Star' stickers were not on the windows when installed. When confronted, the contractor told me that the stickers were "too big" for the windows. One week later the contractor obtained specs and sample invoices from an actual Pella rep. (he forwarded me the email) claiming the windows he installed were, in fact Pella. They were not. The contractor later admitted, in writing, that he has a friend who "used" to work for Pella who builds all his "Pella" doors and windows at better than contractor rate if paid for in cash. Serious misrepresentation; of both the product and the company's claim as being a "Green Builder".
