I left feeling that my hearing had been completely botched. Outside of court, the experience felt just as disorganized. I was repeatedly passed between different assistants, communication lacked consistency, and there were times when I found Nicole's manner toward me rude and dismissive. I also had serious concerns about billing and financial transparency. More than a year passed without me receiving a bill or a clear accounting of the funds being deducted from my trust. When I requested documentation, Nicole refused to provide what I was asking for. Instead, I was told that work had been completed on my case even though I had not been receiving billing statements. I did not receive the level of documentation and transparency I expected regarding thousands of dollars of my money. Above everything else, my greatest concern involved my child's safety. I repeatedly communicated safety concerns, but I did not feel those concerns were given the urgency, preparation, or attention they warranted. My child was ultimately placed in an environment about which I had specifically raised safety concerns.
