The nurse took my health info and I put on the gown to show the doctor the discoloration of my skin and I had places on my arms that was irritated, sore and painful. The doctor came in, looking like he stepped out of GQ Magazine, and greeted me with a fist bump. Then looked at my chart for maybe 10 - 15 minutes and said the said he would give me the same prescription that the dermatologist I had seen 5 years ago. He never looked at me talk to to see what had changed or looked at my skin. Since I was in a gown I thought he would check my skin. Nope didn't happen. I was told to come back in 30 days. I think he fist bumped me again and walked back into GQ Magazine. No I didn't go back to and I already had a big jar of the medicine from before that didn't work then. I felt that he didn't care because yes I am Black. Need I to say more. I tried to write this review after that visit but somehow i didn't know how I would express my feelings of how I was treated. I'm a educated Black woman, but your race can keep you from getting fair treatment when you're sick. He never looked me in my face not once. The nurse was really nice and professional, she is a true healer for her craft. She saw me a patient not a black woman who was supposed to be mistreated because of the color of my skin. I emailed her a picture of the front and back of the insurance card anyways, and the receptionist tried to get smart by asking if I put in the correct email since she didn't get anything. After showing her the email was sent correctly she stated we have to be checked in within the next 1 minute or we couldn't be checked in when her dad was only 5 minutes away. We both drove over 45 minutes to get to this appointment, and unfortunately dad was stuck in traffic. I understand the need for check in by a certain time but the fact that I emailed her front and back of the card and she was still unwilling to check us in is ridiculous and waste of time. I've now been seeing Dr. Morgan Ebeling for the last six months, and I can't imagine going anywhere else! Although Pinnacle's Nashville locations are a bit closer than this one - I really like how easy this office is to access (especially when it comes to parking). Appointment times are respected - and I've never had to sit in the waiting area for more than five minutes. It's evident that Dr. Ebeling cares about her patients. At each of my appointments, she's listened to my concerns and come up with helpful solutions for treatment that actually work! I'll continue to trust Dr. Ebeling and the folks at Pinnacle Dermatology in Hendersonville for all of my dermatology needs - and I recommend this office to anyone in need of individualized skin care.

Unfortunately, the face of every doctors office is the front staff. The first ones you see and the first of opinions made. There is one female up front in the Hendersonville office that does not need to be working with patients. I have watched this front staffer in past visits either being rude to patients, complaining openly about her job or in one instance laughing at a patient. Today I got her in all her glory. I had stopped by with a simple question about my bill. A bill that has been paid since my visit but keep getting. She attempted to explain what she thought the problem was. When I didn't understand and told her that, she said I was not listening. I let her explain one more time. I still didn't quite understand what she was trying to say. Seriously, with her verbiage she was making zero sense. She said I should stop interrupting. I never interrupted. That second go around I even waited for her to pause so I could respond. She told me I came in with a bad attitude. Not sure what she was talking about. I was just smiling and joking with another lady up front. I told her I was mirroring her attitude. She did not like that. Honestly, by then I was angry. I'm pretty easy going but being accused of a bad attitude she was projecting made me defensive. Her attitude with me was extremely unprofessional. Instead of referring me to a phone number, a person in billing or at least someone above her pay grade she yelled and said since I wasn't listening I needed to leave. The encounter after watching other encounters of her with other patients will keep me from going back. Nor will I ever refer another patient too. It's very unfortunate because I really love the providers. I have worked in the medical profession for over 20 years. I've never seen anything like her. I feel like I am trapped, but now I can't get anyone to take care of a simple issue! My daughter has severe eczema. It covers her whole body, including her face. It is painful and embarrassing. She is only 13 years old going through this. She has been out on a special medicine that I have to go through a third party pharmacy to get. All the sudden one day, the medicine didn't show up. When I called the third party pharmacy, they said it was because the doctors office stopped it. When I called the office, they said it was because I needed to come in for a bi annual check up. Instead of calling me, they just dropped the prescription. Now, I have taken my daughter in as requested, but they still haven't renewed the prescription. After multiple phone calls, I still have zero answers. They tell me they are going to call me back, and no one ever does. My daughter is relapsing and this office doesn't seem to care. Although when you call them it says on the recording as you wait for someone that they care about their patients and want to help them! I am finding that not to be the case as they let my daughter go through this! I do not recommend this office! They have made my life very difficult and now they aren't helping me, help my daughter! They should be ashamed of the negligent care! They are putting my daughter in a very bad position and to no end! I tried not to write a review, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but here it is, January 9 (over a month since my daughter went to their offices) abs I still don't have her special medicine. I went to see Dr. Man to have a skin cancer removed off my arm. I cannot get in to see her for two…read moremonths. After removing the cancer, the was covered with Steri-Strips unfortunately they did not have enough large Steri-Strips and half of the scar was covered with much too small stair strips which kept coming off. I went back in to have them redone and they still did not have the larger stair strips. The small ones would not stay adhered therefore the scar did not heal properly and what should have been a small line is now a very ugly scar. I returned to the practice to show them the scar and they gave me a steroid injection, which did absolutely nothing. The first time at this office, I saw Dr. Mann the second time was with one of her assistance and I was not at all happy with her. She was abrupt and rude And did not listen. She acted as though she just wanted me out of there as quickly as possible.

They got him in and when they saw his back they did a biopsy, it was skin cancer. They referred us to Dr Schlegel oncologist at Vanderbilt in Lebanon. The dermatologist saved my husbands life! From my very first visit in December, the provider seemed scatterbrained and distracted. Despite serious health concerns (hysterectomy with residual endometriosis, spinal cord tumor history, ongoing hormone deficiencies), my treatment has been handled more like a med spa add-on service than true medical care. Key issues: * Unqualified staff handling medical intake: My "front desk" contact and the person who weighed me, took my vitals, and gathered my medical history turned out to be an aesthetician/laser tech, not a licensed nurse or medical assistant. This was never disclosed up front. * Delayed and inconsistent communication: Messages and emails often came weeks late, sometimes signed by the provider but sent from the aesthetician, which was very confusing. * Poor hormone management: Instead of adjusting carefully, all three hormones (estradiol, progesterone, testosterone) were doubled at once based on outdated labs. This led to massive swings in my levels -- from dangerously low to excessively high -- with no timely re-testing. Requests for labs at 6-8 weeks were dismissed, leaving me symptomatic and in the dark for months at a time. * Provider focus elsewhere: The main clinician splits time between a hospital job and this spa, and a location in Franklin and it shows. Patient care feels like an afterthought. Bottom line: Hormone replacement therapy requires careful titration, close follow-up, and trained medical professionals. This clinic operates like a beauty spa that dabbles in hormones. If your health is on the line, I recommend seeking care elsewhere with a full-time, specialized hormone provider who takes patient safety seriously.
