Wisner Rents Canoes - Looking at the water wondering when he will be able to kayak too

I can't speak to the reservation process, as we had a friend who handled that, but the experience from check in to the end was great. I browsed the website beforehand and appreciated the super detailed and helpful FAQ and information. I'd never kayaked or canoed on a river before, so I didn't really know what to expect, but it was a lot of fun. You can bring food and drinks for your trip, and they sell water, ice, and small snacks. You can also buy water shoes (helpful for tubing) and koozies that you can hang around your neck (which would have been useful for kayaking). Once we were all checked in, we loaded up in the bus and they drove us to the starting point where our kayaks and canoes were waiting. The trip was mostly leisurely (a tandem kayak experience may be a test of some relationships, haha) and we saw tons of wildlife: green herons, great blue herons, turtles, and three bald eagles! It wasn't too busy or crowded on the river, which was nice. It was $66 for the double kayak rental, which includes paddles, life jackets/cushions, and transportation to the entry point. You can also bring your own kayak or canoe and they'll transport it for a charge. Fishing boats, tubes, and rafts are also available to rent. A fun summer activity!

Nestled in the back roads of Montague is this hidden gem and it is full of beautiful scenery along the river. White River is clean and typically has a slower flow to it. Happy Mohawk has the transportation covered for when you first get on the River and when you get off the river depending on where you are getting on and off at. It is very helpful and makes the experience worth free. I definitely recommend Happy Mohawk. Bring sunscreen and wear a hat! It can get super busy on the weekends during peak summer months so plan ahead!

Having a non-racist name would be an excellent change. Spending a summer day floating down the White River has become an annual tradition for a small group of friends and this business makes it easy. The phones and front desk is managed by a bunch of teenagers who sometimes provide spotty service, but we've learned to keep our expectations low in that regard. This Canoe Livery is perfect on the essentials, though. We like the variety of tube styles (some have a bottom for those chilly early summer days, some have a cup holder, some are kid sized). The way the process works is you pay a fee to rent your tube, then they will bus you to a drop off point. You float down the river for 2-3 hours, enjoying sunshine, cool water and forest views. You will then reach a landing (which is also the place you departed from). It's obvious and impossible to miss. We recommend a cooler for your favorite beverages and a dry bag to keep your important items safe. The front desk will hold your keys while you float, which isn't a bad idea. We've seen people lose their keys on the river before. In these times when many of us are looking for more outdoor activities, a river float is one of our favorites. This canoe livery does a great job of making the process smooth and simple!

So of you buy the site or rent anything a head of time make sure you screen shot the receipt or cc statement. They always mess up our sites and we always have a big group and get the same site everytime. I went in their store to get a couple of things thw girl behind the desk didn't even look up from the computer. I once I got what I wanted I stood at the desk waiting to check out. I then gave her a $10 as she is having a conversation with another co worker. She then tells me the total again and I told her that I just gave u a 10. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR CUSTOMER NOT YOUR COWORKERS. Then they made a big stink bout wearing a mask on the bus and 1st of all they didn't wear a mask at not in the store or busses and they did not make people wear them on the bus. And talk bout safety one of their trailers were missing wheels on both sides. They have the electrical boxes for the site and more than have didnt work so you had to share 1. And they said if its a problem to let them know. Ok HOW ABOUT JUST FIX IT.. This place is going down hill.
