She made the experience very personable and a lot more intimate than we expected. They were very helpful with suggesting different types of matting and frames for both pieces, and their suggestions were spot on. I could not have chosen anything near as perfect as the suggestions they gave me. They know what looks good and will do everything they can to give the customer exactly what they envision. They are very precise, knowledgable and helpful in everything they do. I will definitely do business with them in the future. If you need professional framing, you can't beat The Frame Shoppe.

She would tell me every week that my frame would be in in 3 days, once she tracked it and said it would be there in the next 3 days, then she said it had to be hand made, then it came without the glass. All of this was with my reaching out to her. when i ordered the frame i was give a price of 199 and then 225 by her. when I picked it up after making fruitless trips there thinking it was ready, I paid 248.00. Not to mention when it was first restored and delivered to her to frame it was cut wrong and had to be reprinted. so 3 months later it is back in my possession and she will not ever get an opportunity to do this to me again. Very unprofessional! Previous owner was not like this.

Aiken is a pleasant moderately sized town, but this museum is bigger than anything one could…read morereasonably expect here. The building is really a complex, a repurposed residential estate, with multiple levels. I arrived with an hour and a half before closing and used most of that time just skimming all the rooms, even though some areas were closed for installation. And it was free! The result is a lot of very specific content, from entries on food to war history to the nuclear facility nearby. Aiken County is surprisingly large and includes not only the town of Aiken but a broad swath of land that stretches to the river across from Augusta, and exhibitions here do focus on North Augusta and other towns in the area. Even one of the bathrooms had some information on military latrines as a sort of exhibit. The museum covers a lot of big historical events from a local perspective, so you'll get a window into the Civil War and a sense of the Colonial era and Native American history. I did not receive a tour as there was only one person working there, but it would likely be an interesting tour.
