A Corset shop with no actual corsets! I am a bride to be and I was looking for a corset to go underneath my dress. My mother and I wasted time our time visiting this shop on a busy Saturday afternoon. The employees were helpful but the store did not have what we are looking for. It's absolutely prosperous to have your shop named "the pink corset" and have NO corsets. Either you need to start carrying corsets or change the name. Well hello isn't that why I was there in the first place?! She went on and on about it. I changed my mind and left. Had she been more professional I would have made a large purchase. This place is in the Historic Smithville Area! So I'm a busty girl. I have to go to Soma and buy my Victoria Secret bras online because they don't usually have my size. Well my mom heard of this place from a friend who got her daughter fitted here. I figure okay, I know I've never been fitted properly, and that the VS girls didn't know jack - so I went. The woman who fitted me was a petite, accented woman who was awesome. She explained everything wrong with the bra I had on and then things wrong with the bras that were too big. I'm an in between size so I'm usually going to have it loose a bit. But the bra I got was excellent. It fits me good, makes my boobs actually look smaller and shape them nicely. The saleswomen told me things about bras and my sizing and other things that I never knew and the other places I've been never mentioned to me. I ended up ordering 2 normal bras, 1 shaper (for a wedding in May), and 1 sports bra. It was around $300 bucks. But when I'm use to spending like $60-80 for a single ill-fitting bra anyway. I figure that it's better. I am going back each time I get paid to get another bra until I switch out all my bras. Only reason they don't have 5 stars, is there was a bit of confusion at check out and my mother and I had to repeat ourselves a few time. I had a great experience! I had just walked in to check it out, and the women immediately told me I had to get fitted for a bra, because she could just tell that I was wearing the wrong size. I had never been properly fitted for a bra before, so I was willing to try some on. I ended up buying two. While they are a little tight, the bras look amazing on me and I feel amazing, comfortable, confident, and supported while wearing them. I live in another state and wanted some help. They don't know if I was coming back to the area to buy something or even order with them. I would never treat a customer like that. I was there on Thursday 9/26/19 with my sister, just browsing and interest in some clothing and this dark hair woman came over to me and said you know what we do here, I said yes you're bra fitters she said lets start with you and came over to me and continued to tell me what was wrong with the bra I had on, then grab my straps and pulled up and said my breast were laying on my stomach I was set back abit because I didn't feel she should've been commenting I wasn't there for a bra. My experience at the pink corset was truly amazing! They have the best bra fitters I have ever come Across. My whole life I always thought once I Was told what size I was that I would be the same size in every bra. I guess you learn something new every day. Just like jeans or any clothes each manufacturer cuts differently. I bought 3 different bras and each was in a different size but all had a perfect fit. I actually had a good experience here. The owner sized me perfectly and fit me with an array of bras. All were beautiful and various sizes and manufacturers. The only problem I had was there were no prices on the tags so when I went to check out, my total was almost $500 for 4 bras, 2 pairs of panties and a set of PJs . I calmly asked to remove the two "fancy" bras and matching panties dropping me down to about $185. I normally buy from soma or VS so $70-$80 for a good bra is well worth it. They are probably going to delete this comment, but I have never experienced such a horrific company policy in my life. I tried to return an item with the tags on and my receipt (I never even took the items out of the tissue paper they were wrapped in) after 7 days (there is a 15 day window). I was told I could only get store credit. This policy is printed on the receipt... which I obviously don't get to see until after I've already paid. They did point out a small sign behind the register which says the policy, but it's on the wall directly behind where the cashier is standing when they ring you up so that the view is blocked. I have never been to a store where you can't return something with the tags and receipt and not get your money back. Absolutely ridiculous. The women in the store were lovely, but there is no reason why I shouldn't have been able to get my money back. read more

I needed some coaxing to go to the Pink Corset as I don't spend much on myself. I came out feeling life renewed, I have a heavier chest, yet never realized what a well fit bra could do for me. Bad experience all the way around. The owner/saleswoman? is rude and condescending. They measured me and said I was in the wrong size bra (of course) and proceeded to try to sell me their most expensive bras. When I asked the owner what size I actually am she said she can't tell me a size every bra is different and they are sized differently in Europe where they supposedly come from, I told her I did need nor want $150 bras and she said she does not worry about the cost and I shouldn't care about the cost when it comes to her bras!!! Eventually I ordered a bra that was $70, they did not have my mystery size and shipped it to me. I wore it to work and it was so tight I could barely breath. I couldn't wait to get home and take it off. I called to complain and explained I was not fitted correctly and the woman said I was insulting her and they never get complaints about sizing (not true) and the best they could do was tell me to mail the bra back and they would give me a store credit. Having the right bra has helped accentuate my figure and bring out my assets. They were service professionals and very well poised. I had two unpleasant experiences at this shop. The first time I was approached by a lady who said I was in an unfit bra and proceeded to touch my bra a bit to show how ' off set' it was. I was uncomfortable but figured she knew what she was doing. She then told me that buying good quality bras is a ' necessity, not a luxury'. I walked out of there feeling unconfident and unsettled. I decided to pay that place a second visit and this time wore a more 'proper fit' bra and I felt way more confident. As soon as I walked in, I was approached by this older lady who introduced herself as a bra fitter, meanwhile eyeballing me up and down. So I said thank you. She walked away from me and said in a curt tone ' why are you thanking me? I haven't done anything for you yet'. I couldn't believe how rude this woman was! I have never been treated so rudely by any employee like that. I thanked her for a service she offered me and she wiped the floor with my politeness. I walked right out of there and I will never return to that overpriced snotty shop to get treated that awful way. A friend of mine also went there to buy a bra. She found a bra she liked and unbeknownst to her it was $ 90.00! She was debating to buy the bra and the desperate saleslady went into 'this huge crazy rant about how 'special their quality bras are and from Europe' and said the same fish line I got told: ' Buying good quality bra is a necessity, not a luxury'. So my poor friend got so haggled she ended up buying the bra. She felt so uncomfortable with this exuberant overpriced bra she returned it. Thankfully she got her money back. We are not the first 'victims' of this desperate crazy haggling lingerie shop. There are many more ladies who have been ripped off and treated harshly by this shop. Me and my mother went to this establishment which is full of beautiful lingerie in all sizes. The older women said we both had ill fitting bras and that we should be properly fitted. She measured me and brought me a few different bras. The bras she brought did a heck of a job lifting, however I kept telling her the band was too tight (she gave me a 38, I normally wear 40). She insisted that it is supposed to be tight to get maximum lift. I also told her from time to time (especially during that time of the month) I bloat and needed space to be comfortable. She insisted that tighter was the best fit and said over time it would be comfortable. Over time my bra stretched but not in a good way. My hook and eye were stretched out and one of my hooks broke! My mom got fitted and she specifically told the saleswoman what she wanted (style, etc.) and the woman proceeded to tell my mom what she should get. Needless to say mom was irritated and ready to leave despite the amazing fit. In the end I talked my mom into buying 2 and I bought 1. They're pushy but I'm gonna attribute that to the fact that they are from a different country (thick accent) and that may be customary. All in all my advice is to be firm and don't be intimidated by their pushiness, the bras are really great once you get a proper fit. Next time I'll make sure I buy the 40 and NOT the 38! read more

She bought 3 bras and loves them. When I went, totally different experience. The saleswoman/ owner is rude and so pushy, she has an accent with short curly hair. She put me down, made me feel bad and tried to push $500 worth of crap on me, I dont have that kind of money, it's hard enough to spend 80-100 on 1 bra. Awful experience. Went to visit Smithville and decided to check out the Pink Corset. The place is loaded with lingerie. The first thing the saleswoman says is that my bra is all wrong. I kind of knew that. She offered to fit me with a bra. I always wanted to get fitted properly. I ended up getting three bras. They seemed nice. She kept on saying her bras are from Europe and one brand from the U.S. When I got home I started to use the bras. The first bra gave me a rash and not from Europe but Sri Lanka!! Cost $70+. The next bra was ill fitting, the straps were lose every time I sat down. Also gave me a rash. $85+. The third bra is a sports bra and I don't even want to bother trying it. When I called and spoke to the sales woman I dealt with, she said it should be better after I carefully wash the bras. As far as the straps, she said it was German made and they make them for tall German women!! Why are you selling me this Bra! She said I could send it back and for $5 they will alter it!!!! Or I can easily do it myself. This is after I paid all this money!!! Long story short, after hand washing the bras, I still get a rash. And was told I cannot return or exchange the bras!!So disgusted!!! Do not go there!! Go to a good store that backs their products read more

I should of stayed away the 1st time I went in. The first time I went in the owner told me I couldn't come in unless I was buying a bra, so I brought a bra. Its cost me $90.00 but she told me it will be the best bra I've ever had. It actually was a nice bra but not worth the $90.00. I recently went back in August the owner wasn't there. I was sized by a very nice lady that was trying to sell me everything under the sun. I brought a bra and a sport bra. Almost $200.00 dollars later. I got home didn't wear the bra till a week later. Well the bra was to tight. I called explained how the bra fit and I was told to return the bra. The women who sized me told me she gave me the wrong size that she would send me the right size. Two weeks later I get the bra and its still tight and now the cup is too big. So I return it the very next day wanting my money back. I receive a call not sure the number and I answer it (which I never do) the first thing she says is. I will refund your money. It took me a while to figure out who she was. No can I speak to.....this is the owner of the pink corset. She then starts screaming at me saying I ruined the stupid bra. She's talking over me telling me I'm rude and that I'm yelling at her to the point I had to put my boyfriend on the phone so he could talk to her. Him knowing what's going on she then starts talking over him. He finally calms her down. Long story short she refund me my money back. The sports sucks as well. If they would of sized me the 1st time correctly maybe we wouldn't of had this problem. I will NEVER go in there again and I will make sure I tell EVERYONE I know to do the same.
