This is going to be long so buckle up. My first confirmation appointment was 3 weeks ago, they confirmed I was 9 weeks along. They did an ultrasound and confirmed that I was in fact pregnant. We got to hear the heart and the blood flow was good. My appointment was with Dr. Robinson. With this being my first pregnancy I didn't really know what to expect and trusted the doctors advisement. Dr Robinson told us that he would like me to go see the high risk clinic in Greensboro because they wanted to get a better image of the intestines and if they were twisting in correctly. I asked him if it was normal this early in the pregnancy to see stuff like this. He said 100% normal, nothing to be worried about. He was also very cold and impersonal and not to mention not honesty a negligent, but I'll get to that. So they schedule my high risk appointment for 3 weeks out, putting me at now 12 weeks. I went in and Dr decker was great. She then informed me that there was no heartbeat. Very sympathetic and helpful. She proceeded to tell me at this point that the baby had some very significant structural issues and would not have survived even if they did find a heartbeat and probably did not live too long past my first ultrasound. She then made a comment along the lines of "They should've caught that on your first ultrasound". So she gave me my options and I chose the D&C, because let's be honest, miscarrying is traumatic, and with me being as far along as I was I was not ready for that. So I told them and they said they would tell Dr Robinson and he would set up the appointment. Well this was Monday around 1. Tuesday rolls around and I have left tons of messages just asking for an update to what's going on. Again this is my first "pregnancy" and miscarriage rolled into one so I need some communication. Well I proceed to call their office 3 times and every time I get hung up on. I call the imaging clinic where Dr decker works and they directed me to the one on elm street in high point. The lady on the phone was very nice and I told her the situation and she transferred me over to Pinewest and even told me she'd stay on the line until they answered. And just so happens they picked up for her so she dropped me to them. Well the lady on the phone stated that they've gotten my calls (and have yet to call mand have notes in my file but it takes a while to set it up. Then she proceeds to tell me that Brooke just received a message from Dr Robinson and that they would give me a call back. This was at 3. And needless to say I have still heard nothing and we are on day 3. They have made this pregnancy literal hell for me and are still refusing to treat me even after asking for the pill. I mean how am I supposed to move on from the situation and relieve my stress if my doctor does not seem to care? My stress level is ridiculous, I'm grieving, no communication from my physician, like I am alone medically. Needless to say after they get me the pill I will not be back here. My family is furious at the treatment, most of which work in healthcare. And this is just unacceptable. I have never had this issue with an OBGYN's office. read more
