I purchased two plots there in 2007 because I have family there. Now, I would like to sell them. I have called multiple times and left messages requesting a call back. I finally did reach someone and requested some information. They said that they would get it and call me back. They have yet to do so. I live out of state and, unfortunately, cannot just go to the office. After giving this business ample time to call me back, and not hearing from them, I am more than frustrated. It seems as if there is no interest in customer service unless you are looking to make a purchase. I have MANY family members buried there, however, I think we will rethink things in the future. G. I have many relatives and friends at this place. When people purchased these plots they were sold on the concept of "perpetual care" for their loved ones that included upkeep of the grounds. Sadly the new owner, Stonemor Partners cares not one iota for the upkeep of this park. They should be ashamed. The grass hasn't been cut in ages and there are tree limbs and trash all over. The potholes in the pathways are dangerous. I'm sure they will say they can't find anyone to do the maintenance but that is not true. The other cemeteries in Kinston are well maintained. They should spend a bit of the money they are paying their executives to hire a landscape team to clean it up properly. I wish that folks would get together and plan a class action against this place as they clearly have a problem. read more

My grandparents are there and I could t find the stone sue to overgrown grass and weeds! I cleaned it and added flowers and since I live out of state I cannot maintain it. I would give a big negative! read more

I have many family members in this cemetery. In years past this was a well maintained area. It showed the honor these people deserved. Now, the lawn looks horrible. When it is mowed, the stones are covered in grass. How hard is it to blow the grass off? These people paid well to have their remains in this cemetery. And this is how you honor them? Lets not forget the roads. When was the last time it was paved? You should have to worry about throwing your car out of alignment when visiting your loved ones. DO BETTER!!! read more

My mother was entombed at Pinelawn in early January 2019. It is May 17 and they still have not affixed the placque with her name and date of death! Every time my family asks the onsite staff about this, they get a different excuse. The person entombed just below my mother was a family friend who we know has been dead several years and her placque is still not affixed. In addition, staff got my elderly father to write them a check for expenses already paid. My brother in law had to visit them in person to get a refund. It took many weeks to get a vase for my mother's door to hold flowers. I personally do not plan to spend my dead years at this terrible cemetery. Buyers beware! Also all of our expenses are paid up with these jackals, so that's not the reason we are getting poor service. read more

I saw the last three reviews from the last three or four years ago and i will have to say that absolutely nothing has changed. The park is still in a mess. The grass still needs to be cut and the roads are in horrible shape. I have several family members buried here including my Grandparents and my Dad and it makes my blood boil to see how this place treats your loved ones after they pass. Just yesterday i went to this park with my Mom to put flowers on my Dads stone and had to wade through grass that was literally up to my knees and i am 6 foot 5 inches tall. The grass needed mowing over a week ago. All i saw was two guys joyriding in a golf cart while the lawnmowers were sitting under the trees covered up. This is unnacceptable. Please correct this or maybe think of selling this place to a company that will do a better job. read more

I'm a minister and, as such, I attend/officiate many funerals. I've done several at this particular cemetery and it has never been an enjoyable experience. Nothing ever runs smoothly, finding someone in charge is near impossible, and the cemetery itself is not well kept at all. The last service I officiated her a few months back was downright sad. The grounds had not been cleaned up and cut well, and I even saw a number of trashcans on the property that were overflowing with trash. I would have a hard time recommending this park as a final resting place for anyone. I am not even sure that I would want my dog buried here, to be very honest. It has a long way to go, and until the powers that be take some steps to rectify the problems, I will be staying away. read more

My parents are buried here in the Veteran's section. It is not kept up. Weeds are knee high! Markers are obscured with grass. Plot numbers have been pulled out of the ground! My daughter took pictures today. We both cleaned off markers! This is totally unacceptable! read more
