Since mom has demintia we were never sure about her claims of being ignored, staff not speaking to her, no response when hitting the call button, leaving her unattended so long that her diaper would over flow. What I do know was my inability to get the nursing Station to answer the phone after hours. On several occasions I tried to call and no one ever answered. One evening mom called and told me her diaper and bed were such a mess that she was getting herself out of bed. This is a big deal because she is missing her left leg and she can't do that on her own. I called the nursing station to let them know. As usual no answer. I ended up using 2 phones and called over 40 times. Most calls were just dropped, there were a few hang ups, I was put on hold several times but no one EVER answered. Mom could easily have fallen and injured herself. The nurses needed to know what was happening. She also received her first covid vaccine there but Lark Spur at first didn't know about it, then they referred us to the wrong company, then they provided us with the wrong date. We had to figure that out on our own. Mom has told many people her stories and there have been quite a few people say they have heard similar stories. Most importantly I have mentioned our experience to medical professionals and even people that work at other assisted living facilities and they all have heard how bad it is. Mom left Lark Spur a month ago. I wanted to wait and see if my feelings changed before I did this review but people need to know how bad Lark Spur is. Take your loved one absolutely anywhere else. Mom has trouble remembering things but she does well remembering traumatic stuff and she was absolutely miserable there and she remembers so much from her stay there.
