I contacted this business looking for direction for our daughter who has a rare eye condition and I had seen one of their providers on YouTube with various educational videos. They were very prompt in their response and I actually had a very nice conversation with Dr. Fosso regarding our options. I very much appreciated his time basically providing a phone consultation without needing to travel to his clinic which would have been problematic since we live in a different state. He was also very honest and open with his professional opinion and suggestions even saying that this clinic might not be the best option for what our daughter needs which apparently is very rare. He even gave us some suggestions for other institutions that might be a better option for us. Being someone who has worked in the healthcare field for over a decade, I very much understand how a medical providers time is very much limited and precious, so I am even more blown away and appreciative of the time this doctor gave us. It has been my experience that a majority of providers that I have worked with would not do this. He clearly has a passion for what he does and for taking care of people. He even gave us his direct contact information if we had any other questions. Obviously this also speaks to the clinic in general having him on staff. read more

I told them I want a comprehensive eye exam which would be coverted by my insurance. A month later I get a bill in the mail, for fundus photos that they had taken without getting my consent. Which are not covered under eye insurance. read more

I highly recommend PineCone Vision Center. I've been going there over 10 years, and even after moving to Minneapolis 3 years ago, continue to return for my care. They have cutting edge diagnostic equipment for determining all aspects of eye health, which I really appreciate because I have a family history of eye diseases. The staff is respectful and courteous. The optical store has a fantastic selection of frames and the staff is extremely helpful. I was in there recently and liked the shape of some frames, but wasn't crazy about the color. I loved the color of a different pair, but they were too small to work well with my prescription. They ordered in a different color of the first pair and a different size of the second pair for me to see. I didn't like the second color either (and these are really expensive frames made in Spain), but there was no pressure or concern. I did love the larger version of the second pair so I purchased those. I really couldn't ask for better treatment. read more

My husband and I were asked if we want to take extra pictures of eyeballs during the appointment. But we weren't told that those pictures weren't covered by the insurance. We got the bill $117 each person. So I called and asked what are those pictures for. They told me that the pictures could see deeper inside of eyeballs. I wasn't aware that pictures weren't covered by insurance. And I don't understand why they even offered the service to patient if there isn't a concern. I would have understand if eye doctor has concerns and would like to get better pictures in the deeper eyeballs. My husband and I just wanted to get yearly vision check-up, but now I have to pay extra $117 for the pictures that I don't think I really need to. This is really upsetting me especially during the COVID pandemic period. I could use those money for my kids if they're sick. That's why it is very IMPORTANT to make patient aware that the pictures aren't covered by vision and health insurance. In addition, my husband was asked to make another appointment to check his deeper eyeballs because of his diabetes. I thought those pictures were supposed to do the jobs. read more

When I called to set up a new client appointment the representative on the phone confirmed that they were in network under my insurance provider. I had to leave work early in order to make this appointment, only to find out that this location is not in network. read more

Speechless at the unbelieveable service and compassion shown to me by Dr. Trevor Fosso. I met Dr. Fosso on July 13, 2018. He was the fourth eye doctor I had seen in less than a year for severe eye dryness due to Sjogren's Syndrome. For the past two years I was no longer able to read or drive safely. I wasn't very hopeful at my first visit because I had been to other eye professionals who would mention possible treatments in a noncommittal way without explaining how the treatments would benefit me. I also had just filed an appeal with my insurance company having been told the procedures mentioned would be covered and then told they weren't. Dr. Fosso was extremely focused on the conditions of my eyes and almost reveled in the challenge I presented. Before I left his office that first visit, he put in an amniotic membrane in one eye with plans to put one in the other eye a few days later and after that scleral lens fitting. He had a PLAN. He also explained how each of these procedures were instrumental in getting my eyes healed. Today, I can read and drive. Unbelieveable. He solved what 3 other professionals did not. How do you say thank you to someone who saved your job, gave me the opportunity to drive to see my 90-year-old mother again and gave me my life back? Thank you Dr. Fosso. I know these words aren't enough, but thank you. And I thank your parents for raising such a smarty pants. read more
