We spent significant resources interviewing therapists to find a perfect fit for her. We thought we had when we narrowed down to her provider with Great Lakes. Despite miscommunications, overcharges, and conflicts in her personal life - we were flexible and understanding. We understand that everyone has their own issues and try to be as empathetic as we can be. I get that everyone starts out immature and needs room to grow. I certainly did when I began my career. A line was crossed when we were charged for missing two appointments that she chose to cancel. She cited reasons like finding out bad news in her personal life to justify wanting mandate in-person visits last minute instead of televisits, deeming it a "missed" appointment when we wouldn't comply. When I confronted the issue, more excuses were made. She then decided she would fix the issue, but she will be closing my daughter's file. Between all of that and recommending I take her to the emergency room but refusing to provide the psychiatrist any notes because of "company policy," it's probably for the best. Unfortunately, that will not prevent my kid from feeling abandoned and devastated. She was treated like just another paycheck by that therapist. The joke is on her though. She's an intelligent, vibrant, creative, AMAZING little girl. Anyone who has the honor of being part of her life should count themselves lucky.

I cannot thank Randy at Great Lakes Physical Therapy enough! He treats me kind and respectfully…read more He genuinely cares and has worked to find ways to help me improve several areas where I struggle with pain due to autoimmune arthritis. Just by taping my knees a certain way (which he showed me so I could do at home myself) greatly reduced knee pain I have experienced for many years. I had been to P.T. at other places two previous times for my knees and no one had ever taped them. In addition, with therapy during my appointments and prescribed exercises that I do at home, the pain in my back and hips decreased so much that I was able to cancel my appointment for injections at the pain clinic. This was after many attempts for relief, including aqua therapy and PT at other places, and two years of getting injections every few months! There is a good atmosphere at Great Lakes Physical Therapy with the entire staff. If you want someone who will really work with you to help problem solve areas where you have pain, I highly recommend Randy.

After the attack ends, I have to stay on the couch with blankets because I can't get warm for hours (4 min). This happens 10 days (minimum) of every month. Dr. Bont was suppose to send me to Ann Arbor, MI. (U of M). It never happened. I was sent to a Gastrologist office - Dr. Kieff who saw me in 2014, 2015 and again two weeks ago. Nothing has been done, nothing. I had another attack at midnight this time, same attack as above and now I am on the couch trying to stay warm :( I have taken every test request by both the above Dr.'s, they all come back normal - Even the TB test and 24 hour urine test...Nothing, normal. Dr. Bont never follows up, neither does The understudy "Luke" at Dr. Kieff's office (who I have seen twice!) Now the next appointment I have with Dr.Kieff is three months away! I just waited 3 months to see "Luke" who told me to try a stomach spasm (I have had this given to me four time in four years...guess what?? It doesn't work!) I have given up on them, there isn't any help for me, I hope whoever reads this goes somewhere else for help, go directly to Dr.'s who have knowledge and a heart. One's that follow up on your care. Mine is up to me. I know that now. Mary Minnick 6/4/2016

I visited because of a promo he offered at an expo. I went and did the consultation decided to continue. The problem came when he tried changing the terms of what we previously agreed on during my first appointment. He did a couple of adjustments and then, charged me a higher than planned fee at the end of my visit (blaming it on not knowing some rule changed). I didn't think that was very fair. He could have called me beforehand or, at the very least, told me before starting the appointment. That was really awkward and there wasn't even another person there to break the ice. Intended or not, I felt like I fell in a bait-and-switch kind of thing. I fought it and didn't have to pay the extra but, hopefully, he has a receptionist by now who can keep him a little more organized. I'm going through my Yelp trying to find places I haven't shared my experiences for yet so note that my experience here was a few years ago. It could just be that he was a new business and doing a decent job by now.
