Dunn sat down with us and explained how invasive the procedure would be to remove all of the damaged areas.

And by shaved, I mean the longest guard possible so it is not a true shave. I called to schedule our appointment and told them what we needed. This was not our first visit here and not the first time we have had her shaved at this location. Upon arriving for our appointment, The groomer at Kennesaw pet Center absolutely refused to provide the service we requested. We have had many Pyrenees over 25 years and some we have shaved some we have not. The Pyrenees dog that we have now, is happiest when she gets a shave each summer. I was very frustrated when I was told when I arrived that they could not provide the services I requested. I was even more upset when I had to pay over $450 for grooming and veterinary services when I did not get what we needed. We will be looking for another groomer. The situation wouldn't have been so bad if they had notified us over the phone that they would not be able to accommodate. Our dog had been there previously and had this service there previously. You would think their records would reflect this. But I suppose new groomer new rules. And I'm not certain that a groomer should be dictating what they will and will not do when the service has been provided prior to the same dog and it is not clear if this groomer has ever actually had one on one experience with the breed. This topic is contested, even amongst diehard great Pyrenees owners but again, not sure that the groomer knows everything.

When the tech approached my pet did jump on her aggressively which he has never done. That being said they wanted to muzzle him. No problem they gave me a muzzle I walked him down the sidewalk and waited for them to call for me before putting the muzzle on his face. After being muzzled they took him in for the exam. I waited in my car as you do during the visit and realized I had no phone service and forgot to transfer funds from one account to another for the visit. In a panic I decided to drive not even one minute away for service to upload the app and make the transfer and immediately back to the facility. They claim I "left" my dog. Yes, I could have communicated to them I needed to make a transfer but had no service but to scold me and claim I left my dog is going too far. The vet and I discussed giving my dog a calming medication before appointments being he seemed to have gotten anxious when we arrived. I said oh yes my other dog has some but he weighs less can we get the right amount for the dog they were currently seeing. In their notes they mentioned I had a problem with him being prescribed the medication. How did I have a problem with giving my dog the medication when I asked if they had it on site which they did not and asked to have it called in? I do not appreciate lies being written in our notes making it seem as though we were a problem. We will not be returning! If you don't want to treat my pets just say that no need to make up lies to force us to another facility.

My cat had an 8:00 AM appointment with Natalie Ramos, DVM. Despite a significant weight gain (from 11lbs to nearly 14lbs) and noted pain in her thoracic vertebrae, no x-ray or blood work was conducted. Instead, she was sent home with medication that exacerbated her symptoms. Further testing at an urgent care vet revealed severe lung damage, fluid accumulation, and elevated blood values. Those values reflect the abnormal weight gain that was nonchalantly addressed. She was then hospitalized at another vet to save her life, which they did everything they could. I am so thankful to the other vet facilities. They tried their utmost hardest to undo what you did KMVS. Unfortunately, her condition was irreversible, and we had to make the devastingly heartbreaking decision to euthanize her. I'm struggling to understand how a comprehensive exam could overlook such critical indicators. Also, how they call it a comprehensive exam with no blood work?! I expect a higher standard of care, especially for the cost of services. The missed opportunities for diagnosis and treatment have left my husband and I completely devastated and traumatized. I'm relieved to be taking my other cats to a new vet, ensuring they receive the care they deserve. I implore you to reflect on this case and improve your procedures to prevent similar failures in the future. Please do better. You are supposed to be the experts. I pray no one ever has to go through what we went through. It's a nightmare we have to wake up to every day. May this facility reap what it sowed for their carelessness and insensitivity. It's absolutely disgusting how little care you showed for one of your patients of 5 years. Be very careful of the vet you choose. In the years leading up to her passing, my cat consistently received clean bills of health at her annual check-ups. I now suspect that these assessments may have been superficial, with the vet possibly relying on boilerplate notes rather than conducting thorough examinations. Upon requesting my cat's records after her passing, I discovered a disturbing notation: her age had been wiped out with the note "D@5y" as well as her birthday removed and replaced with the wrong deceased date. Yeah, they really care about your pets. No condolences were offered, not even a card or a phone call.
