Pimiento is the restaurant in Krakow when you are in for a great steak. There are two restaurants in Krakow. One restaurant in Stolarska street just around the corner of the Rynek square and the other original and smaller one in Josefa street in Kazimierz. We actually made a reservation at the old town pimiento location and accidentally came to this one, but the hostess was extremely accommodating and seated us with no issue. We ordered the empanada appetizer and we loved it SO much that we ordered a second round of chorizo empanadas! Definitely didn't expect to have the most delicious empanadas we've ever tasted in the middle of Poland. I ordered the Bife de morocha (medium). Very tasty and perfectly cooked. Definitely a meat that I've never had before and thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered the grilled veggies and Parmesan thyme fries. The grilled veggies were overcooked and the fries could have used some more Parmesan but still tasty. My boyfriend ordered the burger sampler with two smaller sized burgers made of Argentinian meat and the other was Wagyu beef. Both were absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked and the toppings were paired well. We didn't order any wine, but I ordered an old fashioned with orange zest. Loved it. Our waiter (I forgot his name) was amazing. He was very attentive and was ready to give us recommendations when we asked. Great sense of humor also. Highly highly recommend this place! A little pricey but definitely worth it! read more

Not one for the vegetarians, this restaurant is all about beef! It was expensive in comparison to other places we ate in Krakow but not overly excessive considering what they served up. Starters tasted great and were just the right size. The mains were what stick in my memory though, I had the selection of all four cuts and 600g on the plate seemed a lot bigger than 600g on the menu did but it all tasted so good I managed to clean my plate. All the meat was cooked to perfection, exactly as we had ordered it and each cut was tender, juicy and full of flavour. The presentation was great too. Service was excellent and the decor was nicely themed to the menu. Dessert menu only consists of 3 options. We opted to share a chocolate cake which was against my better judgement, I'm not a huge fan of any chocolate cake and I found this one a bit too rich, it looked fantastic though! read more

As a carnivore I can honestly say this place serves excellent steaks- actually cooked the way you order them and delicious! My side of sweet potatoes with chorizo was interesting as a side to a 250gr sirloin steak, and I would probably go for something lighter and greener next time. The mushroom sauce was good but a bit cool when it arrived- still I ate all of it of course! Food arrived quickly and the wine did keep flowing (something I occasionally have mixed feelings about but anyway). The staff were very accommodating to the fact that last minute we decided to join some friends at a larger table and we moved around the furniture to do so. They also were very good at separating our bill quickly and with no hassle as my friend and I had to dash off sooner. Certainly worth the price (one should treat themselves to a good steak yes?) and remember to book in advance on a Friday or Saturday! read more

My mouth is watering just thinking about the times I have had steaks here cooked just the way I like it! The only let-down was that one time the service was a tad slow when I went with two of my friends and all of us ordered medium or well done steaks which took them 90 minutes to prepare. Other times when I went with bigger crowds the food arrived much sooner. With that said... the meat, the wine, the side dishes... Pimiento is an Argentinian steakhouse. So I would suggest it to my carnivore friends. The restaurant was set up nicely and we made reservations in advance. Food presentation was great and the service was wonderful. Servers were very helpful in explaining the menu which came on a clipboard. It was very simple and cute at the same time . I ordered grilled calamari with assorted peppercorn for my appetizer. It was grilled to perfection and had a great texture. This is a must for you to eat. We ordered our steak cooked medium with a side of potato, gratinated potatoes, and spinach.The steak came out perfectly cooked with the right amount of seasoning. I preferred the pan fried potatoes and spinach. They gave us plates dusted with grinded peppercorn to partake in devouring our steaks. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and opted for champagne instead of the go to red wine. For dessert we decided on chocolate. It definitely hit the spot.
