Renovations are not fully done yet inside, but honestly, that's not what we were looking for. We tried 3 kinds of meat: taso (fried goat), fried pork (griot), and fried chicken. My favorite was the taso. It had a nice taste of lamb and was tender and seasoned. I found the griot to be very fried (maybe that's how it's meant to be). The accompanying rice and pasta salad were good. Portion size is not huge on the meat but as a meal it's adequate and very decent for the price. The place looked family run and the staff was very friendly in explaining what was what to us tourists. At $8-10 after tax per Styrofoam meal including a can of pop, I'd come back to try some of their other items if I passed by again.

I ate the whole thing, after thinking about skipping dinner because I wasn't hungry. The slightly spicy, peppery curry sauce brought everything together: big chunks of boneless (white meat, unfortunately) chicken, potatoes, chickpeas, carrots, and plantains.

This review makes me very sad…read more We ordered from Caribbean Curry House a few weeks ago, and were blown away by the quality of the food that we received. The chicken roti was flavourful and plentiful, and all the rest of the food we ordered was mouth-watering. This all changed a few minutes ago. We placed an order through UberEats for that fantastic roti, a bunch of "doubles", jerk chicken & their shrimp, along with assorted sauces. We also ordered a peanut punch, which came as a kid's boxed drink. Thank gawd we ordered it...it was the best part of what we received. First off, the order was missing the chicken roti and the shrimp. I immediately called them, and was put on hold for several minutes. When I finally spoke to someone, that person was fairly rude, insisting that we did get the roti (we didn't) and we didn't get the jerk chicken (we did). The person argued with me about the sauces (two small containers with a teaspoon of some weird concoction that was definitely not hot in each...for a buck and a half a pop!). They then told me that they were out of shrimp so I'd have to figure out how to get a refund from Uber, and if I want the roti, come down to their shop to get it. Ummm...why do you think I called Uber for delivery, genius? Angered and frustrated, I hung up and resigned myself that I wasn't going to get the roti I craved, and settled down with one of their "doubles". It. Was. Horrible. It was cold and bland...a few sad chickpeas stuck between yesterdays bread. They were fabulous...juicy, curry-flavoured with a pop, delicious bread...only a few weeks back, and today, I couldn't finish one. The jerk chicken felt like they had taken it out of a fridge and forgot to reheat it...and it tasted like nothing. No jerk hit, no spice...just a sad piece of chicken that gave it's life in vain. So...that's it. I'll never order from them again, and will search elsewhere for my caribbean food-fix. The person I spoke to has pissed me off with their lack of client-service, so this review is getting reprinted everywhere. I hope that if you do choose to order from them, you get the Dr.Jekyll version of their food, not the Mr.Hyde I received.
